At the table, art becomes an encounter.

Lydia Ourahmane’s Hotel Ladinia (2026) installation will be activated through a special culinary performance by Pramëisa, Carolina Moroder’s itinerant culinary project inspired by the Ladin expression for “at the table.”

For one evening, the former hotel bar becomes a place of gathering once again. Food, drinks, art, and conversation come together as Pramëisa invites us to experience hospitality, community, and culture around a shared table.

🕔 5:00–7:30 p.m.
No registration required — just come by and join the table.

🍽️ From 7:30 p.m. onwards

Bosco Sodi installed a series of vibrant red paintings in the public space of Ortisei, where they appear suspended among the trees of Piazza S. Antonio.

At different heights, perched in the trees, on simple T-shaped frames, the paintings seem both protected and exposed—quiet interventions that invite visitors to look up and discover them within the landscape.

Each work is shaped through Sodi’s distinctive process of layering thick pigment and raw materials, allowing the surfaces to crack naturally as they dry.

Dorota Gawęda & Eglė Kulbokaitė transform Hotel Ladinia into an immersive environment where sculpture, sound, and light merge into a single experience.

Their site-specific installation combines sculptures from the „Dead Ringer“ series with a 30-minute sound composition, „Brood (Scene 5: and her hair parted on the left side)“. Developed with the polyphonic singing group Isokratisses and musician OXHY, the work weaves together lullabies, laments, and love songs into a cyclical soundscape. As voices move through the space, a choreographed lighting sequence gradually reveals and conceals the sculptures.

With (Future) Paradise Gardens, curator Samuel Leuenberger has brought together local, regional, national, and international artists, emerging voices alongside internationally renowned names—in a carefully balanced exhibition that unfolds across Val Gardena.

Exploring themes such as Commoning, Divine Love and Growth, Violent Garden, Q***r Ecology, Botanical Gardens, and Gardens as Spaces for Reflection and Poetry, each artistic contribution offers its own distinct perspective while becoming part of a larger dialogue. The result is a rich and cohesive exhibition in which every individual voice remains present and resonates throughout the Biennale.

Creating a project of this scale requires partners who share our vision and believe in the power of culture. A heartfelt thank you to barth Innenausbau KG for their valued support, trusted collaboration, and shared commitment to making Biennale Gherdëina 10 possible.

Yuyan Wang presents „Green Grey Black Brown“ at Sala Trenker—a video installation that pulls you into a hypnotic landscape shaped by oil, plastic, and synthetic matter.

Drawing on footage from industrial and commercial sites, Wang assembles a flowing sequence of images where liquids, textures, and surfaces merge into an ever-changing environment, accompanied by a slowed-down soundtrack.

In front of the screen, a carpet of artificial grass invites visitors to pause, watch, and reflect.

Originally developed for Kunsthaus Baselland, the terrariums have been reimagined for (Future) Paradise Gardens through research in Val Gardena. Incorporating plants, objects, photographs, and souvenirs, each terrarium becomes a unique microcosm that reflects its surroundings while remaining an artificial, carefully composed environment. The works invite us to consider how we observe, preserve, and shape the environments around us.
