About Koenraad Ecker’s practice:
“For the past 15 years I have slowly developed my own approach to sound recording and field recording.
It centers on extended immersion in a place and its social environment, patience, deep listening, a lot of trial & error and meticulous attention to detail.
Using a variety of state-of-the-art (and sometimes obscure) recording tools, I aim to make the intangible heard and felt.
Over the years my recordings have found their way into my own compositions, scores for contemporary dance, Netflix productions, blockbuster film trailers, documentaries, installations, art films & commercial sound libraries.
I have given workshops about sound & field recording at the Universität der Künste (Berlin), Liszt Academy (Hungary), Nyege Nyege Studios (Kampala) and KHM (Köln).”

Alessio Lex Mauro, Mixing Engineer – Musician
Born in 1987, he discovered music at the tender age of three and began to take an interest in sound engineering and production in 2003, combining his skills as a multi-instrumentalist and years of live performance in tribute bands with his work as an engineer.
A masterclass with Tom Lord-Alge in 2019 proved crucial in refining his sound—already smooth, spacious and assertive—which bears a striking resemblance to the sound from across the Atlantic.
Over the course of his twenty-year career, he has worked with international and local artists such as Gabriele Mitelli, The Elephant, Three Tsuru Origami, Violeta Garcia, The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters, Fabrizio Bosso, Davi Wornel, Charles Winning, Hesanobody, Veneregrida, Senduki, Memories of A Lost Soul, Brunori SAS, Zaminga, Luframilia, Skassamenti, Bluestones, Traumagain, Gabriele Policardo and Michele Nunnari.
Since 2012, he has been Resident Engineer at LM Recording Studio (RC).
