An opportunity for young under 35 creatives from Europe, Asia, North Africa and Latin America.

"R-Evolution - the theatrical practices beyond the Sud" (aka R-Ev) is an international network and project to support young creative talents (playwrights, directors, performers, choreographers, dancers, set designers, video makers, visual artists, producers) under 35. Nuovo Teatro Sanità (Organizer and project leader), in partnership with Sardegna Teatro – Theater of Relevant Cultural Interest (Ca

gliari, IT), Primavera dei Teatri festival (Castrovillari, IT), Scena Nuda theatrical production (Reggio Calabria, IT), with the support of MIC (Italian Ministry of Culture) and international partners, Centro cultural Recoleta (Argentina), FIBA festival (Argentina), Teatro Regional Biobío > Concepción (Cile), Santiago Off festival (Chile), INAE > Montevideo (Uruguay), Implosivo Arte Escenicas > Montevideo (Uruguay), Festival Brújula al Sur > Santiago de Cali (Colombia), Artemrede > Santerem (Portugal), Torre Vedras Camara Municipal (Portugal), Zoukak Theatre > Beirut (Lebanon) and Théâtre El Hamra > Tunis (Tunisia), intends to promote a professional path in contemporary creation that can offer its participants an international experience, with the aim of promoting intercultural dialogue and career empowerment for young artists from Europe, Asia, North Africa and Latin America. Through a cycle of residencies, meetings and confrontations, to be held in the partners’ countries, with the support of tutors, the participants will have the opportunity to develop an artistic project (work in progress), heavily influenced by the meeting with the communities, result of cooperation between the participants, to be presented as part of a widespread festival in the partners’ countries, which will be the final landing point of the undertaken path.

🇮🇹 Qualche giorno fa si è concluso il meeting finale di R-Ev 23-24, organizzato dal project leader Nuovo Teatro Sanità e ospitato dal TAN - Teatro Area Nord di Napoli.
Tre giorni di presentazioni e dibattiti, durante i quali partner e artisti hanno tirato le somme del lavoro svolto nel corso di quest'anno e discusso dei possibili sviluppi futuri dei progetti creati.

🇬🇧 A few days ago, the final meeting of R-Ev 23-24, organised by the project leader Nuovo Teatro Sanità and hosted by TAN - Teatro Area Nord in Naples, ended.
Three days of presentations and debates, during which partners and artists summed up the work done during this year and discussed possible future developments of the projects created.

🇮🇹 L'ultima residenza dell'edizione 23-24 di R-Evolution Project ha visto Caterina Filograno (Italia) e Raimundo Cosme (Portogallo) volare verso Torres Vedras, per ultimare i lavori su "Dear Cicciolini" prima della presentazione durante il meeting finale a Napoli.
Lo studio, presentato al Centro de Artes e Criatividade, viene infine strutturato in tre atti, basati su affermazioni, canzoni e immagini ispirate dal personaggio di Ilona Staller:
• Lezione #1: "Non basta essere artisti di talento, bisogna anche essere ungheresi."
• Lezione #2: "Sii istintiva e provocatoria senza mai essere volgare, sei un angelo del p***o, ricordi?"
• Lezione #3: "Non puoi sfuggire al tuo destino."

La residenza è stata realizzata con il contributo dell'Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Lisbona.

🇬🇧 The last residency of the 23-24 edition of R-Evolution Project saw Caterina Filograno (Italy) and Raimundo Cosme (Portugal) fly to Torres Vedras to finish work on "Dear Cicciolini" before presentation during the final meeting in Naples.
The study, presented at the Centro de Artes e Criatividade de Torres Vedras, is finally divided into three acts, based on statements, songs, and images inspired by Ilona Staller's character:
• Lesson #1: "It is not enough to be talented to be an artist, you must also be
Hungarian."
• Lesson #2: "Be instinctive and provocative without ever being vulgar, you are a p**n angel, remember?"
• Lesson #3: "You can't escape your destiny."

The residency has been made possible with the contribution of the Italian Cultural Institute of Lisbon.

🇮🇹 A completare il ciclo di residenze italiane di R-Ev 23-24 sono stati Maria Costanza Solarte Burbano (Colombia) e Leonardo Venturi (Italia), ospiti di Scena Nuda e dell'Associazione Antigone - Osservatorio sulla ndrangheta a Reggio Calabria. I due artisti hanno esplorato la città visitando il MArRC - Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Reggio Calabria, sede dei celebri Bronzi di Riace, e basandosi sui feedback ricevuti in Colombia hanno esteso e definito la struttura drammaturgica e la messa in scena del loro studio "Just a Bit", poi presentato all'Osservatorio.

🇬🇧 Completing the cycle of Italian residencies of R-Ev 23-24 were Maria Costanza Solarte Burbano (Colombia) and Leonardo Venturi (Italy), who were guests of Scena Nuda and the Associazione Antigone - Osservatorio sulla ndrangheta in Reggio Calabria. The two artists explored the city by visiting the MArRC - Museo Archeologico Nazionale Reggio Calabria, home of the famous Riace Bronzes, and based on the feedback they received in Colombia, they expanded and defined the dramaturgical structure and staging of their study "Just a Bit", which was then presented to the Observatory.

🇮🇹 Camila Diamant (Uruguay), María Francisca Díaz González (Cile) e Andrea Melis (Italia) si sono incontrati ancora una volta per una residenza a Cagliari, dove insieme a Giuseppe Saccotelli hanno perfezionato e presentato al pubblico il loro progetto.
L'invecchiamento, la percezione della bellezza, la paura di essere giudicati: "Monster's Sensuality" invita il pubblico a confrontarsi con le ansie che caratterizzano la nostra epoca, celebrando la diversità che ci rende autentici, in una messa in scena che vede il bagno pubblico come luogo simbolico in cui emergono conflitti sull'accettazione di sé e i performer svelare gradualmente le proprie insicurezze, mettendo in luce la fragilità nascosta dietro le apparenze.

La residenza si è svolta negli spazi di Sa Manifattura e Stazione di Transito nell'ambito di Festa Mobile di Carovana SMI e Giornate del Respiro di Sardegna Teatro.

🇬🇧 Camila Diamant (Uruguay), María Francisca Díaz González (Chile) and Andrea Melis (Italy) met once again for a residency in Cagliari, where together with Giuseppe Saccottelli they refined and presented their project to the audience.
Aging, the perception of beauty, the fear of being judged: "Monster's Sensuality" invites the audience to confront the fears that mark our times, celebrating the diversity that makes us authentic, in a staging that sees the public restroom as a simbolic place where conflicts about self-acceptance emerge and the performers gradually unveil their insecurities, highlighting the fragility hidden behind the appearances.

The residency took place in the spaces of Sa Manifattura and Stazione di Transito as part of Festa Mobile by Carovana SMI and Giornate del Respiro by Sardegna Teatro.

🇮🇹 "Dear Cicciolini" di Caterina Filograno (Italia) e Raimundo Cosme (Portogallo) – supportati dal tutor Mario Gelardi – ruota intorno alla figura emblematica di Ilona Staller, in arte Cicciolina, prima attrice p***ografica al mondo ad aver fatto parte di un parlamento nazionale.
Durante la loro prima residenza in Italia i due artisti hanno lavorato nelle sale della scuola di danza Pittaluga di Cagliari, dove hanno delineato una mappa concettuale del progetto e lo hanno infine presentato in forma di studio discutendone con alcuni rappresentanti del collettivo di Sardegna Teatro.

📍 La loro prossima tappa sarà a Torres Vedras, residenza realizzata con il contributo dell'Istituto italiano di Cultura di Lisbona.

🇬🇧 "Dear Cicciolini" by Caterina Filograno (Italy) and Raimundo Cosme (Portugal) – supported by tutor Mario Gelardi – revolves around the emblematic figure of Ilona Staller, formerly known as Cicciolina, the first p***ographic actress in the world to have been a member of a national parliament.
During their first residency in Italy, the two artists worked in the halls of the Pittaluga dance school in Cagliari, where they outlined a conceptual map of the project and finally presented it in studio form, discussing it with some representatives of the Sardegna Teatro collective.

📍 Their next stop will be in Torres Vedras, a residency made possible with the contribution of the Italian Cultural Institute of Lisbon.
