CH.OP. - the duo of Cosmo Dance and Whodamanny - return to deliver a new chapter of their analog-driven dance language on Mirella Records. I Coccodrilli – "Love On The Rocks" is out!

Born as a playful studio project in 2021, I Coccodrilli first appeared with Sabato Italiano — a track originally conceived as the soundtrack for an imaginary (and never realized) music video celebrating the essence of the Italian “dolce vita.”
The song was written and produced mainly by Raffaele Arcella (Whodamanny) and Enrico Fierro (Milord), alongside the extended Futuribile & Friends family — including Massimo Di Lena, Terry Di Renzo, and a host of long-time collaborators and musicians.
A few years later, the project returns with a brand new single, Love On The Rocks — once again blending that distinctive “pop-not-pop” flair that defines their sound. The release also features an unmistakably Italian dream-house version on the B-side, adding a lush and more club-oriented touch.

Gibo & Pummarola Band - Sexy Pummarola (Tre Golfi, 1985) • An authentic synth-pop / italo-disco masterpiece by Gibo & Pummarola Band, a project rediscovered and brought back into the spotlight thanks to the track “Sexy Pummarola”, featured on the Napoli Segreta compilation. Produced by Guido “Slot Machine” Valletta, the group later changed their name to Pummarola System (produced by Claudio Mattone). Here we also have archival footage—shared by Matteo B. on his YouTube channel—showing them performing an unreleased song on "Quelli Della Notte", the TV show hosted by Renzo Arbore, who often invited emerging artists from the so-called “Vesuwave” scene.

☆ Gianni Coveri – Brividi... D'Amore (S.G. Record, 1990) • Includes an uncredited cover of Santa Esmeralda’s Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood.

☆ Angelo Cavallaro – Senasazioni (P.D.R., 1988) • Delightfully offbeat downtempo / Balearic oddity.

☆ Salvo Nicolosi – Lotterò Per Te (G.N. Record, Unknown year) • A Neapolitan take on the Italian dance classic Ride On Time by Black Box.

☆ Nino Ferretti – '88 (Gulp!, 1986) • Stripped-down cover of Grease by the Bee Gees!

☆ Luigi Pagano – Cik E Ciak (Toka, 1989) • Very rare record. Sleeve in excellent condition, though with a cut corner. Plays well, but noticeable surface noise at the beginning of both sides.

The scarce information available about Michele Stile dates back to 1993, when he took part in the newcomers’ section of the Sanremo Music Festival. Introduced by Pippo Baudo, the singer-songwriter stood out not only for his music but also for his unusual background: he was a professional chef from Castellammare di Stabia.
