On Monday, September 22nd, from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, young designer from Cuneo, Chiara Gardini Morello, will unveil her first fashion collection at NABA in Milan, in an exclusive showroom.

The collection, refined and deeply symbolic, is dedicated to her mother—an architect and professor of Art History—an essential figure in her life. Each garment becomes a tribute to the profound bond they shared.

Crafted in pure silk, the pieces draw inspiration from flowers and from the jewelry of designer and friend Melissa Greco, who created bespoke artisanal jewelry and resin applications with preserved flowers for the collection.

Like flowers crystallized in resin, the memory of loved ones remains intact over time, transformed into enduring beauty and remembrance.

The line also features floral foulards and accessories that merge art, fashion, and nature, turning every piece into a story to wear.

During the event, guests will be able to vote for the collection: at stake for Chiara is the opportunity to showcase her work at Fashion Graduate Italia, a prestigious platform for emerging talents.

Maria Nepomuceno is a Brazilian artist, based in the city of Rio de Janeiro. She dedicates herself to installations, sculptures, drawing and painting, creating organisms in webs that include fabric, necklace beads, rope, straw, clay, ceramics, wood, plants and several other materials. Sometimes also objects of everyday use, and popular handicrafts mainly from Brazil. Based on research and travels, Maria incorporates references from collective works from indigenous communities, weavers and Carnival in her works as a form of dialogue with space, time and cultural diversity. In her sculptural work is very common the mixture of vibrant colors and the balance of volumes as propellants of the anachronism between times, a kind of living mathematics where her forms incorporate an intense poetic and affective reasoning.

To hugs and cheers, our first year fashion students brought their first term to a close with a showstopping White Show 2022. In this Central Saint Martins tradition, BA Fashion students are tasked with creating a head-to-toe garment using only white materials, for a catwalk show directed, styled and entirely produced by first year BA Fashion Communication and Promotion. With the Playground as their backstory, students were invited to find a sixth sense in fashion, emphasising the process of play and sensory experimentation.
An explosion of imagination and collaboration, 161 highly individual looks came together on the catwalk and streamed out into the world, in a hypnotic preview of this group’s collective consciousness. On a pilgrimage beyond time, place and space, models walked to swirling techno, showcasing form, fit, construction, materials, craft - and the extreme joy of make-believe.
