White clay sculptures & Porcelain dolls
I am a sculptor and I like working with white clay.
I build sculptures in white clay that are then painted with some brush strokes of acrylic and oil and I also create articulated porcelain dolls representing present-day female beauty canons, characterised by facial features with big slanted eyes, high prominent cheeks, big mouths with exaggeratedly fleshy lips, and a small chin.
I adore tackling with clay and modelling, feeling the volumes, searching for the lights but above all the shadows. I strive to get that gesture, that look, that reflection of reality in a piece of clay, of water mixed with ground rock.
My source of inspiration has always been the human body, the female and the male body, the beauty of anatomical forms, the beauty of faces, the beauty of all diverse races.
