You’ve followed our journey navigating the world of tv, film, and entertainment, but now, we invite you into the part of our world that does not glimmer. When hope seems absent, grief can become a catalyst for action.
From mother-son duo comes a social justice documentary series, Unheard Voices: A Mother’s Quest for Freedom, that amplifies the voices of mothers and families navigating the unimaginable reality of having an incarcerated child.
This documentary follows a mother whose 17-year-old son, Blake, is sentenced to forty years in prison for a robbery in Texas. Shattered by the system yet refusing silence, Tosha confronts trauma through therapy and authors the Amazon best-selling memoir Momma, I Should Have Listened. Determined to transform pain into purpose, Tosha and her younger son Christopher, director of the series, travels the nation —state by state— to meet mothers facing the same injustices offering tools for advocacy, healing, and collective power. Through raw testimony and lived experience, Unheard Voices exposes the human cost of mass incarceration while illuminating how maternal love can spark resistance, resilience, and change.
This story is not only a national crisis—it our my own. My brother’s extreme sentencing forever changed our lives as a family and ignited a mission within my mom that has repositioned us to stand with families who have been silenced by the criminal justice system. This film is a grief as a catalyst for action, illustrating how lived experience can evolve into advocacy, education, and reform. demonstrates how lived experience can become a powerful vehicle to discovering purpose in the places we wish never existed.
God presented two things in our home— talent and tragedy; this is the byproduct of that.
