It’s incredibly exciting to finally bring Retro Hardcore to Hardcore Nation in Germany. Mark and Glenn stand for a brutal, uncompromising sound that combines the raw roots of Early Hardcore with the energy and power of Next Gen Hardcore. No trends, no watered-down sound – just pure passion for Hardcore.
The story goes way back: Mark started producing Hardcore in 1996 on an Amiga using FastTracker, later developing his sound into live performances in the early 2000s – including Hellraiser Germany in 2002. Since 2010, he has released music under various projects on national and international labels, while also working in mastering and supporting upcoming artists.
Glenn aka Foxhound has been behind the decks since 2004. His foundation is vinyl – and that classic DJ culture still plays a major role in his style today. His turntablism skills earned him contest victories at PRSPCT in 2011 and Masters of Hardcore in 2013.
Together, Retro Hardcore have made their mark at numerous events over the years, including Harmony of Hardcore, Pandemonium, Ghosttown, Play!, Legacy Outdoor, Gabberboot, Decade and many more. Their releases have appeared on labels including Mokum, Gabberhead, Hardcore Never Dies, Digital Overkill, Cyndium and House of Madness.
On November 28th, we’re bringing that sound to Düsseldorf. From 04:00–05:00, Retro Hardcore will take control of Hardcore Nation – right at the point of the night when there’s absolutely no room for compromise.
