This summer was very warm, but there were also plenty of clear nights, allowing me to focus on astrophotography. The subjects are mostly nebulae—regions where new stars are born from dust and gas. Each image took several nights to create and is composed of hundreds of individual shots.

Photograph of Dumbbell Nebula from my workshop backyard. The nebula is the result of an old, dying star that shed its outer layers in a glowing display of color. It's just 3 hours of collecting data with a digital sensor. It's so bright that you can see it with a small telescope.

We are inspired by the overgrown industrial landscape. Machines and other artifacts reminiscent of the myth of human progress are slowly swallowed by vegetation. The apparent eternity of industrial monuments disappears face to face with the time horizon of natural elements.

The entire installation of ceramic objects is part of the Woven collection, in which we use traditional textile production processes such as knitting and weaving as a construction method for ceramic objects. These techniques themselves are inherently linked to the development of industrialization and carry within them the duality of the natural and the artificial.
