Nick Recordkicks is the founder and head-honcho behind Milan based record label and music publisher Record Kicks. All started in 2003 with volume one of SoulShaker a collection dedicated to the contemporary new funk scene. Ever since RK has be

en putting the spotlights on the funk & soul scene - with frequently excursions into afrobeat, dancefloor jazz and rocksteady - releasing new artists from all over the planet. Over 51 artists in total on more than 150 releases mostly on vinyl. We’ve counted over 40,000 x 45s vinyl pressed, that's a huge pile of 45s taller than Milan’s Duomo. In addition to contemporary bands to launch RK has also re-released forgotten pearls from the past by artists like Betty Wright, Barrino Brothers, Robert Moore, Panama's Soul Fantastics and brand new singles from Motown's singer Floyd Lawson and Trojan Record and lee scratch Perry's star Susan Cadogan. Aside from the continuos support of a growing number of aficionados all over the world, Record Kicks counts VIP fans like DJ Andy Smith & Jazzman Gerald who respectively compiled for us Let’s BOOGALOO vol.4 and vol.5 comps, Dj Food, Craig Charles, DJ Snowboy, Mark Lamarr, Mr.Scruff, Kenny Dope and dr.Bob Jones. When Nick is not busy releasing records he can be found Djing literally all around the globe where he has spotted clubs like 100 Club, Cargo, Pigalle, Dex in London, Roter Salon - Berlin, New York Club and Marula in Barcelona, El Junco, Katmandu and Marula club - Madrid, Unique Club - Dusseldorf, Revolver Club - Melbourne, Tonic Lounge - Sydney, Urban Jazz Groove - Bremem, La Palma – Rome, Afrodisia - Granada and many more. Nick is responsible for the worldwide famous SoulShaker and let's BOOGALOO compilations and since 2003 he promotes and he’s dj resident at BOOGALOO Club, Milano’s premier rare groove clubnight. During these years BOOGALOO Club hosted the cream de la cream of funk & soul djs including Keb Darge, Eddie Piller, Florian Keller, dj Snowboy and many more. He’s also the head honcho behind HIT THE BONGO tropical clubnigt and promoter & resident dj at MILANO FUNK&SOUL ALL-NIGHTER.
