(b. 1974, Genoa, Italy) lives and works in Albissola.

Her practice explores memory, repetition and the transformation of images across different media. Working between photography, paper and porcelain stoneware, Silvia Celeste Calcagno develops a visual language in which fragile traces are translated into enduring forms, suspended between disappearance and permanence.

For Senza titolo, Calcagno presents seven works from the series Tulsi (2026). Inspired by a tulsi plant that grew spontaneously in the artist’s childhood home, the series intertwines personal memory with symbolic imagery. Floral motifs drawn from domestic interiors — a dressing gown, a kitchen curtain, a sofa upholstery, a wallpaper — are transferred onto porcelain stoneware through the artist’s distinctive printing process and permanently fixed through firing.

(b. 1980, Ragusa, Italy) lives and works in Sicily.

His paintings unfold through narrative cycles in which each image forms part of a broader story. For Giovanni Blanco, painting is not an end in itself but a way of understanding and experiencing the world — a space where memory, observation and imagination converge.

For Senza titolo, Blanco presents a composition of three canvases depicting an Angelica, a dog and a monkey, recurring figures within his visual vocabulary. Suspended between allegory and everyday life, these subjects become fragments of an open-ended narrative, inviting multiple readings while resisting a single interpretation

(b. 1983, Naples, Italy) lives and works in Bologna.

His paintings emerge through layers of colour, light and atmosphere. Landscapes, figures and architectural elements appear only to dissolve again, suspended between recognition and abstraction.

For Senza titolo, Alessandro Saturno presents a group of landscape paintings in acrylic and oil on canvas, built around a palette of blues, greens, violets, pinks and oranges. Rather than describing a specific place, these works construct a space of perception, where colour becomes structure and the landscape remains in constant transformation. Rather than depicting a landscape, Saturno allows it to emerge — slowly, provisionally, through colour.

What does it mean to look closely at a painting from another century today?
And how can a contemporary practice inhabit that encounter without trying to resolve it?

A dialogue across centuries.

In Things As They Are, enters into direct conversation with Antiveduto Gramatica’s Concerto a quattro figure (1608–1610), tracing its internal structures and translating them into a new visual language.

A space where painting becomes analysis, memory, and transformation.
