Today we present the work by artist Giovanni Costa titled “ASTER THALASSIOS (STELLA DI MARE)”

🪸 The Mediterranean has always been an integral part of Giovanni Costa’s life and artistic imagination. In “Aster Thalassios”, he chose to evoke it through a starfish, transforming it from a simple natural element into an ancient symbol, almost like a presence resurfacing from the depths of time. Around it, he incorporates signs, spirals, gold, and motifs that freely evoke Mediterranean cultures and his native Sicily. He does not seek to reconstruct the past, but rather to gather its traces within memory and transform them into his own artistic language. The textured surface and ageing waxes contribute to giving the work the appearance of something that has been lived through and rediscovered. For the artist, “Aster Thalassios” speaks of the sea, memory, belonging, and time.

🎨 Giovanni Costa, a Sicilian artist originally from Taormina, explores painting through themes connected to the memory and symbolism of the Mediterranean. His artistic language emerges from the encounter between personal experience, nature, and the influences of ancient Mediterranean cultures, reinterpreted through a contemporary perspective. In his works, texture, color, gold, and symbolic marks come together to create a personal imagery suspended between memory and the present.

We are pleased to present the works of the French artist Françoise Salvayre, who is exhibiting two pieces at the *Unspoken Echoes* exhibition, titled: “COLLIOURE” and “GÉRANIUM”

🎨 In “Collioure” there is a clear inspiration from the village of Collioure on France’s Mediterranean coast, a birthplace of Fauvism. The artist revisits the vibrant palette of 1950s
painters: a still life - a green pitcher on a coral-red stool - opens onto a landscape of boats, a bell tower and the sea, where every element is rendered through pure colour and
bold contrast.
In “Géranium” the artist evokes the atmosphere of the French Riviera, with an acknowledged reference to a work by Picasso. A potted geranium on a pink stool stands out
against lush greenery and a glimpse of the sea: the composition plays on simplified forms and a pairing of greens, pinks and blues, in a dialogue between domestic intimacy and Mediterranean landscape.

🖌️ Françoise Salvayre
A French artist trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nîmes, where she graduated in 1985.
A painter and art teacher, she has developed a figurative language of vivid, saturated color rooted in the Mediterranean and Fauvist tradition. Her work has been exhibited in La Ciotat, Paris and Antibes, most recently at the AE3 space in 2023.

🎨🪶We are pleased to introduce the artist Natasja Kamenjasevic, who is participating in the *Unspoken Echoes* exhibition with two works titled “IN BETWEEN TIME” and “FOR A WHILE ON EARTH”.

🖌️“Thoughtful emotional minimalism”: this is how one of her Instagram followers described her way of photographing and processing images, and it may be the most fitting summary.
Loneliness, distance, desolation, reflection, an existential undercurrent and a minimalist sense of nature: from the far cold North where she lives to the warm Mediterranean she
comes from. A touch of human presence is an element she often — almost always — returns to. Her colours are mostly pale, set against a single strong tone that lends the image
a hint of vivacity.

📸 Born in Sarajevo, where she grew up and graduated from the Faculty of Political Science with a specialisation in journalism. She worked for many years as a freelancer for “Oslobođenje”, the largest daily newspaper in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The war in the former Yugoslavia led her to begin a new life in Sweden, where she chose to devote herself to more creative work. After completing her Cross Media Publishing studies, she has been working as a communicator and graphic designer. She has always loved photography and hiking, especially long-distance treks: chances to pause for a moment… and breathe.

We present the painting titled “A little Summerdream” by artist Franca Ze, who is participating in the *Unapocken Echoes* exhibition in Barcelona this October.

🛟 The “WeibsBild” painting series, with its absurd, whimsical daydreams and wishes, invites us to embark on a journey of the mind with its protagonist. But that’s not all this series
represents an image of women that, with its emphasis on physicality and values, is becoming increasingly unpopular in Western society. Nevertheless, this female figure
radiates contentment and self-confidence, thereby rising above these social norms.
WeibsBild thus stands not only for her humorous, warm-hearted daydreams, but also for a self-determined body image.

🖌️🇩🇪 Franca Ze, a multidisciplinary artist living in Germany, is one of the new voices of Surrealism thanks to her unique visual language.
Through her extraordinary use of color, space, and symbolism, combined with emotional depth, she succeeds in telling stories in a special way that are garnering increasing international attention. Exhibitions have taken her to Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain.
In 2026, she will receive the “Visionary Artworks Palmiery Foundation Award” for her painting “Relativity of Time”. Her whimsical, humorous series “WeibsBild” holds a special place in her body of work, in which she reveals another facet of her artistic personality.

🎨 The “Art Space’’ organization presents the exhibition of contemporary art “UNSPOKEN ECHOES’’, which will
open in Barcelona at the ultra-modern gallery Hub/Art Barcelona located in the Barceloneta area, on October 10th, 2026.
The exhibition will take place from the 10th to the 17th of October 2026.

The exhibition’s title, “UNSPOKEN ECHOES,” evokes all those silent stories that pass through time without ever truly disappearing: passed down memories, family secrets, forgotten traditions, and objects that preserve traces of the past.
The exhibition unfolds as an intimate and narrative journey, in which each work bears witness to a cultural legacy that lives on through materials, images, and symbols.
“UNSPOKEN ECHOES” aims to create a dialogue between past and present, between different cultures and contemporary sensibilities, offering a space for personal experiences and collective memory. The works on display will include installations, paintings, sculptures, and creations made with recycled materials or traditional techniques reinterpreted with a modern twist, giving new voice to what often remains hidden or unexplored.
The exhibition is intended as an immersive artistic experience, in which art becomes a tool for connection and reflection, capable of expressing identities, emotions, and stories through diverse languages.

Il 24 Giugno la Galleria Ikonica si è trasformata in un crocevia di culture, visioni ed emozioni pure. Vogliamo ringraziare infinitamente ognuno di voi per aver reso il nostro Vernissage un evento assolutamente indimenticabile.

✨Un grazie speciale va ai 25 straordinari artisti internazionali che hanno reso possibile questa mostra, portando a Milano frammenti del loro mondo e della loro anima. 🌍🎨

A rendere l’atmosfera ancora più magica è stata l’incredibile performance artistica e musicale dal vivo di “Arti e Archi” Roberto Sironi , che ha saputo fondere suono e materia visiva in un’unica, grande opera d’arte in movimento. 🎶✨

Grazie al pubblico, ai collezionisti, agli amici e a tutti gli appassionati che hanno riempito le nostre sale con la loro energia e curiosità.

Siamo felici di lresentarvi le opere scultoree dell’artista Centina Alexa dai titoli “Breaking Open” e “Poppy”.

🖌️Centina Alexa è un’artista austriaca e la creatrice di Mind Flowers. Lavorando principalmente con porcellana, gres, marmo e oro, crea figure scultoree che abitano lo spazio tra mito, psiche e oggetto rituale. La sua pratica è radicata nel ricordo: della tenerezza, della verità interiore e dei mondi silenziosi che spesso dimentichiamo di proteggere. Ogni opera è modellata a mano e porta con sé la presenza di un guardiano, un portale o uno specchio.

🌈 Le sculture di Centina Alexa sono create come promemoria di verità che troppo spesso dimentichiamo. Ci invitano a guardare dentro di noi, a ritrovare la calma e a ricordare chi siamo.
Tutti gli smalti sono di produzione dell’artista e ogni scultura viene cotta quattro volte: Prima cottura a biscotto; Prima cottura dello smalto; Pittura a smalto; Cottura in oro 24 carati, utilizzando una soluzione d’oro al 10% Il marmo proviene da una cava locale ed è un tipo di pietra molto raro chiamato Marmo di Sölk. È stato chiamato il “marmo degli dei” per le sue numerose sfumature di colore.

🎨 Impeto - ritmo momentaneamente carico, movimento e spostamento di tempo e spazio - estensioni e proiezioni in un tono orbitale, spirale dell’osso scheletrico - Ascensione di una struttura ovale, figura dell’estasi venosa. Direzionale, una forza di vettore illimitato, sentimento, il settore cosmico.
Fattore non identificato, eppure il cosmo fa ruotare l’oggetto, uno stato di inquietudine, come l’essere trasforma il soggetto. Punti focali attorno alla superficie penetrano la fornace astrale.
Corsa di proiettili avanti e indietro, trascendenza, cambiamento di velocità, condensato in entrambi.

🎨 Nato nel 1992, Andreas è un artista greco-cipriota originario di Nicosia, Cipro. Dopo quattro anni di studi alla Gray’s School of Art in Scozia, nel 2017 è tornato in patria per proseguire il proprio percorso artistico. Da allora mantiene uno studio a Nicosia, dove lavora costantemente allo sviluppo di un linguaggio distintivo e rigoroso. Dai disegni ai dipinti an olio, le sue opere affrontano temi molteplici, esplorando gli aspetti filosofici, retorici e metafisici della vita, dove i raggi del sole incontrano il vuoto del pensiero. Ogni lavoro mira a generare nuovi interrogativi nello spettatore, collocandosi al confine tra realtà e finzione, in uno spazio in cui la scala degli elementi rimane aperta a un equilibrio sempre possibile.

Siamo felici di presentarvi l’opera di Tanja Jessica Podehl dal titolo “Rebel Grace”.

🖌️“Rebel Grace” ritrae una figura alata sospesa tra fragilità e forza interiore. La palette monocromatica è contrastata da accenti di colore selezionati e texture stratificate di ispirazione urbana. Frammenti di testo, segni espressivi ed elementi multimediali emergono dalla superficie, creando un dialogo tra vulnerabilità, ribellione ed espressione visiva contemporanea. L’opera riflette una tensione emotiva tra silenzio e resilienza.

🎨 Tanja Podehl è un’artista visiva contemporanea tedesca autodidatta, nata nel 1974.
Lavorando principalmente con acrilici e tecniche miste, crea opere figurative cariche di emozione che combinano texture stratificate, influenze urbane e ritratti espressivi. I suoi dipinti esplorano la tensione tra fragilità e forza attraverso processi intuitivi e un linguaggio visivo contemporaneo. Vive e lavora vicino ad Augusta, in Germania.
