“We Were UV” is an independent game and application studio based in Milan (IT).
It established itself as one of the top innovators in its field since its foundation in 2012.
It has been working on fresh new and experimental technologies (XR, VR, AR, Image Tracking and Recognition, WebGL, etc.) to rich immersive human experiences on different devices.
WWUV offers digital art services to various worldwide gaming company for all digital platforms, having operated on more than 10 titles with different game engines.
The studio is working on its own new games, “Sine Requie: Snake Eyes”, “Toygeddon” and an unannounced hardcore multiplayer title for pc and console.
*** Job Description ***
We are looking for a multiplayer server programmer to work on a scalable, stable, and secure ecosystem of services for players. You will be on top of the multiplayer experience, working closely with your team to delivery the best game services.
From the beginning of your journey with us you will:
· Design and build a stable back-end platform built on top of AWS technologies.
· Create a best game service platform and work with game team to deliver scalable multiplayer, social, and security features.
· Build a set of tools and services that simplify deploying, debugging, and running a live multiplayer game on PC.
· Help drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user experience.
*** Skills ***
Profile:
· Knowledge of server architecture and networking protocols used for online games;
· Familiarity with AWS technologies;
· Contributor to a production service built on AWS;
· Experience programming in C++/C #;
· Knowledge of current game engines and tools (Unreal, Unity, CryEngine, etc.);
Bonus:
· Experience working on online game services;
· Experience programming in C++/C # in the video game industry;
· Java, JavaScript, PHP and Python;
· Knowledge of Database System (MySQL, etc.);
