“We Were UV” is an independent game and application studio based in Milan (IT).
It established itself as one of the top innovators in its field since its foundation in 2012.
It has been working on fresh new and experimental technologies (XR, VR, AR, Image Tracking and Recognition, WebGL, etc.) to rich immersive human experiences on different devices.
WWUV offers digital art services to various worldwide gaming company for all digital platforms, having operated on more than 10 titles with different game engines.
The studio is working on its own new games, “Sine Requie: Snake Eyes”, “Toygeddon” and an unannounced hardcore multiplayer title for pc and console.

*** Job Description ***

We are looking for a multiplayer server programmer to work on a scalable, stable, and secure ecosystem of services for players. You will be on top of the multiplayer experience, working closely with your team to delivery the best game services.

From the beginning of your journey with us you will:

· Design and build a stable back-end platform built on top of AWS technologies.
· Create a best game service platform and work with game team to deliver scalable multiplayer, social, and security features.
· Build a set of tools and services that simplify deploying, debugging, and running a live multiplayer game on PC.
· Help drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user experience.

*** Skills ***

Profile:

· Knowledge of server architecture and networking protocols used for online games;
· Familiarity with AWS technologies;
· Contributor to a production service built on AWS;
· Experience programming in C++/C #;
· Knowledge of current game engines and tools (Unreal, Unity, CryEngine, etc.);

Bonus:

· Experience working on online game services;
· Experience programming in C++/C # in the video game industry;
· Java, JavaScript, PHP and Python;
· Knowledge of Database System (MySQL, etc.);

From the beginning of your journey with us you will:

· Program in the relevant languages (C++, C #);
· Program all the various game modules (gameplay, audio, graphics, etc.);
· Collaborate closely with members of all departments (designers, artist, producers, etc.) to produce a high quality product;
· Program the game according to the game design document and the programming rules already in place;
· Research and develop new interactive products (VR, AR, XR, etc.);
· Integrate all elements of the product, including engine, user interface, graphics/animations and sound;
· Work with the team to improve the production process and help in establishing best-practices;
· Document the code and design and share with the team;

*** Skills ***

Profile:

· Experience programming in C++/C #;
· Knowledge of current game engines and tools (Unreal, Unity, CryEngine, etc.)
· Creative problem solver, able to quickly learn and utilize unfamiliar concepts;
· Ability to work under pressure and address tight deadlines;
· Ability to program in a methodical and structured manner;
· High interest in video games and interactive high technology products;
· Motivated, hard-working, thorough and able to work on a team;

Bonus:

· Experience programming in C++/C # in the video game industry;
· Experience with iOS, Android or other video game consoles;
· Knowledge of 3D programming (OpenGL, DirectX);
· JavaScript, PHP and Python;
· Knowledge of Database System (MySQL, etc.);

News from our project Sine Requie: Snake Eyes! =D

Salve Cacciatori!
È da un po’ che non giungevano nuove missive ma non temete, l’Inquisizione è più forte di prima! E oggi vi aggiorneremo sul futuro di Sine Requie: Snake Eyes!

Il videogioco ufficiale ispirato al gioco di ruolo italiano più feroce sta venendo sviluppato ma non vedrà la luce nel 2018 purtroppo. Lo sviluppo procede ma ha subito dei rallentamenti rispetto a quanto inizialmente sperato a causa del kickstarter non riuscito.
Dopo la pausa estiva, torniamo ad aggiornarvi con diversi aggiornamenti suilavori in corso e su come sta cambiando Sine Requie: Snake Eyes. Inoltre vogliamo far sapere a tutti i fedeli servi dell’Inquisizione che, salvo imprevisti, prevediamo di pubblicare il gioco nel primo semestre del 2019!

Gli Occhi del Serpente non si sono ancora chiusi e l’Inquisizione ha del lavoro da fare!
