PHIFEST IS PHOTOGRAPHY. IT’S ART. IT’S CULTURE. Phifest is an event. It’s a meeting. It’s a chance to deepen the last trends in the field of art.

It’s a moment of dialogue and exchange dedicated to all those interested in the finest international contemporary photography. Photography is an art. It consists of collecting instants in order to show them static in space and in time. Photography stops reality and investigates its multi-faceted aspect; it filters knowledge; it collects moments. Photography creates the opportunity to deepen worlds

and horizons explored by other people, lived and stopped by them, but now available to everyone else. Perspectives become full of meaning; they investigate reality and the events that surround us as well as all personal artistic experiences that are now made alive through new minds and through the eyes of a new public. People are now involved in the new interpretation of an event that they now own for the first time. Intimacy is hidden behind framings. Lives are hidden behind snapshots. Motion is hidden behind static nature. Phifest becomes the spokesperson for all those interested in collecting beauty, in living it, sharing it and enriching themselves with the plurality of voices that the art of photography proposes. Phifest is an unconventional event. It is a complex cultural panorama where international contemporary artists become story tellers by sharing tales that have been hidden behind images till now. They document reality, they filter tensions and contradictions, define borders, and identify details. Phifest is an informal relaxed atmosphere made to take in all incentives offered by artistic trends, to show all possibilities owned by contemporary photography, its artists and its most representative players. Phifest is a little world where art, culture and photography play as protagonists by interacting one to the other and enriching themselves. It is to be conceived as the laboratory of creativity where it is possible to ask advice from known artists and professionals and enjoy new authentic artworks in order to promote photography, a multi-faceted complex visual art.
