French composer and musician stegonaute, Franรงois Sivignon, arrives at Casa degli Artisti for a new residency as part of Phase 2 of 40hz. ๐
His sonic universe emerges from the encounter between analog synthesizers, tape loops, field recordings and minimal electronic composition, transforming imperfections, repetitions and layers into what he himself describes as โsoundtracks for unseen films.โ
During the residency, Stegonaute will bring his research into the world of 40 Hz, working with the tools developed by the project โ the 40 Hz subwoofer and the 40 Hz Ableton Rack โ and integrating them with the analog dimension of his practice..
๐ผ Tape, oscillations, textures and sub-frequencies thus become the material for a new composition, exploring the relationship between sound, perception, attention and the physical experience of listening.
