New logo, new stickers.👀

Si è da poco concluso il workshop di una giornata”Modular Types”, ospitato all’interno del laboratorio tipografico di Cfp Bauer e svolto nella prima edizione del Creative Summer Camp.

Un gruppo di ragazze e ragazzi si è messo alla prova con la stampa tipografica, unendo la composizione manuale con piombi a matrici modulari sperimentali.

Il progetto ha preso forma in un poster A4 stampato in due passaggi:

1️⃣ Primo livello: Composizione manuale con caratteri mobili di piombo scelti e composti dai partecipanti.

2️⃣ Secondo livello: Ogni partecipante ha realizzato il suo “tipo” utilizzando moduli in cartone vegetale tagliati a laser.

The one-day workshop “Modular Types” has recently wrapped up. Hosted inside the Cfp Bauer typography lab, it took place as part of the very first Creative Summer Camp.

A group of young participants experimented with letterpress printing, combining manual typesetting with experimental modular matrices.

The project came to life in an A4 poster printed in two passes:

1️⃣ First pass: Manual typesetting using lead movable type chosen and composed by the participants.

2️⃣ Second pass: Each participant created their own “type” using laser-cut greyboard modules.

New press in the studio 😂
Found this beauty at the flea market a couple of weeks ago.
This tiny platen press it’s a french made toy from the 60s, I’ve decided to put it back into action and have it print a few cards :)

Last week I had the opportunity to take part in the Erasmus+ project ‘Called Messages, Writing with Matter’ at ENSAV La Cambre in Brussels. It was an experimental typography workshop involving 24 students from four different schools ( - Milan IT , - Kiel DEU, ENSAV La Cambre Bruxelles BE and .fr Strasbourg FR), who were asked to engrave their ‘messages’ onto concrete blocks.

A huge thank you to and for creating and organising this workshop and for involving me alongside some students.

Questa sera! 💥“laboratorio tipografico aperto” 💥
In occasione della sistemazione del laboratorio tipografico presso la scuola alla (in cui e tengono il corso dedicato alle tecniche di stampa tipografiche) lo spazio apre le porte a tutte le persone curiose e appassionate.
