Today it's father's day and this year I've left to celebrate with just memories.
I've been away for a while as me and my family were getting ready to fight alongside my dad after he got diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately what it seemed to be the beginning of a tough battle, turned out to be a last journey together, caring for him during his last days.
Emotions are all over the places, and it still feels surreal talking about him in past tense, but I would like to share with you some good memories I have about him.
He was a grown up boy, full of energy, who wanted to experience everything in life. He loved music, travelling, eating and drinking good wine and beer. He always used to prepare a glass of spritz for everyone during family gatherings, and he always loved to match table cloth and dishes. He really loved Christmas and, oh boy we took a looong time to open gifts because everything needed to be captured on pictures/video. He used to share with us every moment, also his outfit check for when he was preparing for vintage bike rides!
I could go on and on and on and on as he had so many interests, but I'm going to share some more with you in the next days while I'll be working on a last glass piece for him.
Me and my family are left with the feeling that he left us too early, but his memory is alive, and he is definitely still with us in spirit ☀️💖🦁
