In recent years, Noisecapes, a project conceived and curated by Stefano Tripodi within the cultural association The View From Lucania, produced an artist residency in Matera (13–17 September 2021) with musician Daniele Antezza Dadub Mastering Studio , within the framework of the public call “Estate Materana 2021” by the Municipality of Matera Città di Matera

That residency, made possible through public funds awarded via a municipal grant, constituted the creative and production context from which a record later released in 2024 by Daniele Antezza with the label Melantonia - Mattia Onori (.onori). originated.

As of today, not only in the public communication related to the release, but also in presentations, installations, exhibitions and public contexts where the work is being shown, it is not adequately stated that the project originated from a residency produced by The View From Lucania / Noisecapes within a public cultural program of the Municipality of Matera.

This omission results in an incomplete representation of the project’s production chain and its context of origin. We believe it is important to clarify this for the integrity of the project, for professional fairness within the cultural sector, and for transparency toward the public frameworks that support such work.

The parties involved have been formally contacted through legal assistance requesting a regularization of credits. In the absence of a response, we consider it necessary to make this information public in a transparent way.

We believe that proper attribution, process traceability, and coherence between public communication and actual responsibilities are essential values for the credibility of the cultural scene and for mutual respect among professionals.

This statement has also been shared via email with venues, operators, and collaborators who have worked with Noisecapes over the years.

This statement has also been formally sent via certified email (PEC) to the relevant offices of the Municipality of Matera and to the institutional bodies involved in the related public call.

Noisecapes and The View From Lucania will continue to work in the spirit of transparency, production accountability, and professional integrity.

Anyone wishing to receive further information or documentation about the project is welcome to contact us via direct message on this channel.

Exclusive Live Set: EPRC Present "BODIES"
On December 12th at 2 PM, exclusively for Noiscapes and live on Radio Raheem, EPRC (Elisabetta Porcinai & Roberto Crippa) reimagine their debut LP "BODIES" (Stray Signals, 2024) in a groundbreaking performance for voice and electronics.
This set reflects on the radio medium itself, stripping live performativity of the body down to its essence: sound and voice. The body is present yet distant; absence becomes a palpable tension. The album’s compositions unfold in a raw, fragmented, minimalist form, creating a seamless stream of consciousness.
Expect a distorted yet immersive soundscape where sparse synth textures merge with ethereal choruses, percussion, and spoken word. A desert-like sonic environment: barren yet saturated, haunting yet intimate.
EPRC is a collaboration born from improvisation, bridging Berlin, Milan, and London. Rooted in their individual journeys, the duo has forged a singular language of their own. Their work delves into sensory perception and inner landscapes, crafting soundscapes infused with poetry, instant composition, and sonic synthesis.

🎙 Mark your calendars – this is not to be missed.

A few more images from the last WARSHADFILM temporary show at the TAM museum in partnership with Fondazione Matera 2019.

The exhibition, consisting of 16mm loop projections, fine art prints and field recording materials, was an excerpt of the content produced during WARSHADFILM's artistic residency in the small village of Aliano, the place of exile of the writer, painter and anti-fascist Carlo Levi, which took place last December thanks to a call for entries sponsored by the Matera 2019 Foundation.

The visual project involved the population of Aliano in a collective storytelling. The artists reflected on the concepts of boundary and threshold peculiar to urban spaces such as the town of Aliano as opposed to the gentrification prevailing in large national urban areas.

Unveiling the essence of community and artistry! The recent artistic residency by WARSHADFILM from December 26 to 31 was more than just a creative exploration; it was a vibrant community experience that enveloped the heart and soul of Aliano.

In the cobblestone streets of this timeless border village, the duo immersed themselves in the shared stories and collective spirit. The residency became a harmonious dance between the artists and the local community, echoing the historical connection Aliano holds, reminiscent of Carlo Levi's transformative sojourn during the fascist regime.

Contrasting the tranquility of Aliano with the hustle of contemporary gentrified cities, this project delves into the unique character of border villages. Aliano, with its roots deep in nature and history, serves as a stark contrast to urban centers facing the challenges of overpopulation and gentrification.

The residency became a celebration of the differences, highlighting the intricate balance between tradition and modernity. The entire citizenry of Aliano participated, weaving their narratives into the fabric of the artistic journey.

Stay tuned for the visual masterpiece that captures the essence of Aliano's community spirit, bridging the gap between the serenity of a border village and the hustle of modern cities.
WARSHADFILM is a film research duo composed of Tiziano Doria & Samira Guadagnuolo founded in 2019. Their work is grafted onto the processes of analog photography and film. Much of it takes place in the darkroom where they develop and print
all their materials. This is intimately linked to the search for a form and language that find - in the minimal degree of the tools and their technical possibilities - a conceptual and poetic
correspondence.

WARSHADFILM has produced several films, film installations and live performances and have been guests at major international festivals, reviews and events including Locarno Film festival, Torino Film Festival, Thessaloniki Film Festival where they won the prestigious Golden Alexander Award in 2022.

Embracing the timeless dance between art and history, we are thrilled to announce a mesmerizing collaboration that transcends the boundaries of imagination. Presenting the Artistic Residency with the visionary artists, Warshadfilm, in partnership with Foundation Matera 2019.

Nestled in the heart of Aliano village, where the echoes of centuries past reverberate through cobblestone streets, Warshadfilm will embark on a transformative journey from December 26 to 31, 2023. This ephemeral sojourn promises to be a convergence of artistry and heritage, as the artists delve into the tapestry of Carlo Levi's archive.

Drenched in the ethereal glow of analog 16mm film, the artists will weave a cinematic masterpiece, pushing the boundaries of the visual realm. The lens, a poetic conduit, will capture the spirit of Aliano, echoing the whispers of its storied past while projecting the dreams of its future.

Carlo Levi's archive serves as the sacred script, the ink of history bleeding into each frame. A dialogue will unfold, a silent discourse between the past and present, inviting us to witness the magic that transpires when creativity dances with the echoes of time.

Some images of the A/V live performance made by Inner8 + sYn last July at Electropark Festival in Genoa at the Museo del Mare. The show was realized after a long-term artistic residency involving the Balzi Rossi UNESCO archaeological site in Ventimiglia-Italy.

ERRANT explores the theme of the migration of peoples in all its complexity and is deeply inspired by the migratory flows of Homo Sapiens to other parts of the world, as witnessed by the discovery of its traces at the Balzi Rossi cave, on the border between Italy and France, where a very delicate situation is still experienced today precisely regarding migrants.

This experience is infused with ritualistic and spiritual echoes that evoke a reflection on the difficulty and determination to leave everything behind in search of new shores, a sentiment that is tinged with even more dramatic tones when contextualized with the harsh contemporary reality experienced daily by migrants, victims of their own existential condition.

In general, freedom of movement is among the ideas that serve as a fundamental trait to the conceptual framework of the performance, underscoring the importance of an equitable right of freedom of movement and fusion between cultures, as happened at the dawn of human history.

Overall, the performance aims to be a testimony to the enduring human spirit and a celebration of the resilience and courage of those who face the uncertainties of migration.

The combination of ancient and modern themes gives the show a unique and thought-provoking touch, with the intention of evoking in the audience an immersive yet reflective experience.
