RAVE East Village Artist Residency is a meta-project devised by the artists Isabella and Tiziana Pers with Giovanni Marta. It is the only residency dealing with the role and responsibility of contemporary art in relation to the otherness represented by animals, and more generally with the need to rethink ourselves and our world through biocentrism. It supports artistic research and production
and promotes multidisciplinary dialigues with artists, critics, scientists, architects, philosophers, poets, activists and other thinkers, promoting in this context non-specist thinking. The residency takes place in a rural environment in Friuli, inhabited by animals rescued from the slaughterhouse through Tiziana Pers’ actions , and now cared for in a natural context. Every summer RAVE invites an internationally artist to envisage and develop a new research and project in relation to this specific context. The hosted artists were:

RAVE EAST VILLAGE ARTIST RESIDENCY è un meta progetto ideato dalle artiste Isabella e Tiziana Pers con Giovanni Marta. E’ la prima residenza che apre la discussione sul ruolo e sulla responsabilità dell'arte contemporanea nei confronti dell'alterità animale e sulla necessità di ripensarsi in una prospettiva biocentrica. Promuove la ricerca e la produzione dell’arte e sostiene il dialogo multidisciplinare con artisti, scienziati, architetti, filosofi, critici, attivisti e poeti, valorizzando in questo contesto il pensiero antispecista. La residenza si svolge in un luogo rurale della campagna friulana dove vivono alberi salvati dall'abbattimento e animali salvati dal macello da Tiziana attraverso la sua pratica . Ogni estate RAVE ospita un artista tra i più significativi del panorama internazionale affinché possa condurre la propria ricerca in dialogo con il territorio, le tematiche di RAVE e gli animali.
