2026 SARP is pleased to announce Naguel Rivero as the selected artist and winner of the Portfolio Parade curated by Erik Kessels.

Naguel Rivero is an Italian-Argentine photographer known for his hybrid approach to photography. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Barbican, and is recognized within the field of contemporary photography. He currently lives and works in Paris.

presenterà un video-documentario di Leo Orta, che racconta il processo di residenza: il vulcano come fonte di ispirazione, i luoghi di lavoro e il dialogo con la comunità.

Ben Cullen Williams presenterà invece il risultato della sua residenza attraverso un video che integra immagini realizzate con una camera termica sull’Etna.

Here on Etna, landscape is alive — breathing, erupting, reshaping itself in real time. Lava flows become archives. Ash turns into soil. Silence carries memory.
At the core of our residency program is this question:
Is landscape a backdrop, or a collaborator?
A territory to observe, or a force that observes us back?
Artists, researchers, and thinkers come here to listen to the volcano — to work with instability, time, and transformation. To understand landscape not as scenery, but as process, tension, and relationship.
