Lerici Music Festival è una kermesse musicale internazionale.

Un sogno divenuto realtà: la grande musica che, animando il Golfo dei Poeti e le sue meraviglie naturalistiche, porta la perla del Levante ligure al centro della scena musicale internazionale Il Lerici Music Festival è organizzato dall’Associazione Suoni dal Golfo, il cui scopo sociale è la promozione della musica e della vocazione culturale del Golfo dei Poeti, di cui Lerici è il centro. istica tra le più belle d’Italia, da secoli ospita intellettuali, artisti, uomini e donne d’impresa di tutto il mondo, che convivono con la popolazione locale la cui storia è strettamente legata al mare e alla navigazione. Da questa storia luogo di naviganti e artisti, prende le mosse nel 2017 ciò che è oggi il Lerici Music Festival, fin da subito caratterizzato dal respiro internazionale, la residenza degli artisti ospiti, la poliedricità delle esperienze musicali e artistiche ospitate, dall’originalità dei progetti produttivi. In pochi anni il Festival ha mostrato tutte le potenzialità di motore per lo sviluppo locale, a partire dalla valorizzazione turistica del territorio. La manifestazione sostenuta dal Comune, dalla Regione e dal Ministero della Cultura, trae la maggior parte delle proprie risorse dalla significativa rete di amici che la sostengono e che sono uno dei tratti distintivi del Lerici Music Festival.

Come ogni chiusura, il concerto conclusivo del festival ha portato emozioni contrastanti. La musica è stata magica, eseguita ancora una volta ai piedi del castello di San Terenzo, sui terrazzamenti del promontorio del Golfo dei Poeti, registrando il tutto esaurito. Il suono del violoncello di Miriam Prandi, nella sua esecuzione del Concerto per violoncello di Elgar, ha riempito dolcemente quello spazio così evocativo. In un contrasto di stili, il maestro del bandoneon Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi ha eseguito il Western Medley di Ennio Morricone (arr. Varelas), prima che i due solisti unissero le forze per eseguire Per Mare di Roberto Di Marino, prima mondiale di un'opera che i due interpreti hanno dedicato alla memoria di Emilio Marcianò, dagli albori sostenitore speciale del festival e padre di Gianluca Marcianò | Conductor fondatore e Direttore Artistico della manifestazione.

A coronare la serata, un doveroso momento per premiare ed omaggiare artisti e mecenati insieme a Marco Russo.

Non vediamo l'ora di esplorare un altro elemento il prossimo anno: l'Aria!

As it happens when something beautiful comes to an end, the final concert of the festival was bittersweet. The music was magical, performed again at the foot of the castle in San Terenzo on the terracing on the headland of the Gulf of Poets and it was packed out. The sound of Miriam Prandi’s cello, in her performance of Elgar’s Cello Concerto, sweetly filled the vastness of this evocative space - sea, sky, stars and a fortress too. In contrast of style, maestro of the bandoneon Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi played Ennio Morricone’s Western Medley (arr. Varelas) before Miriam and Mario Stefano joined forces for the very beautiful Per Mare by Roberto Di Marino, a world premiere of a work that the two interpreters dedicated to the memory of Emilio Marcianò, a very special supporter of the festival from its conception and the father of Gianluca Marcianò, its founder and Artistic Director.

As a final celebration, the fastival reserved a special moment to award artists and patrons, with the special participation of the Mayor Marco Russo.

We look forward to exploring another element next year: Air!

Il Festival si conclude con l’incontro tra grande repertorio e nuova creazione: il Concerto per violoncello di Elgar, una delle meditazioni musicali più profonde del Novecento, e la prima esecuzione mondiale di Per mare di Di Marino. Il concerto finale afferma l’impegno del Festival verso una tradizione viva, la creatività e il futuro, presentando l’Acqua come continuità tra memoria e rinnovamento. È quanto mai opportuno che due amici del Festival, straordinariamente affermati e amatissimi, che in questi primi dieci anni hanno offerto il loro sostegno con generosità e costante presenza, si esibiscano nel gran finale di quest’anno, accompagnati dall’Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice.

The Festival concludes by bringing together great repertoire and new creation. Elgar’s Cello Concerto, one of the most profound musical meditations of the twentieth century, meets the world première of Per mare by Di Marino. The final concert affirms the Festival’s commitment to a living tradition, creativity and the future, presenting Water as continuity between memory and renewal. Two highly accomplished and much-loved friends of the Festival, who have given their support so generously and with such constant presence throughout its first ten years, are performing at this year’s finale.

La prima sera di Agosto si è aperta con un'esperienza affascinante: percorrere la stretta via nella splendida cittadina di Visit Sarzana , varcare una porta poco appariscente e ritrovarsi al Teatro degli Impavidi , un gioiello teatrale del primo Ottocento. Poltrone rosse, tendaggi con frange dorate, decorazioni color crema e una splendida cupola affrescata.

Il giro di vite (The Turn of the Screw) di Britten è andato in scena in un teatro che echeggiava quello della sua prima al Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, con la regia del giovane Michel El Ghoul , la direzione del maestro Giuseppe Bruno Giuseppe Bruno e l'Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice. La storia, inquietante e misteriosa, si è dipanata con perfetta naturalezza, con scenografie e costumi curati anch'essi dal regista, mentre i cantanti hanno sprigionato la loro magia con interpretazioni magistrali e di perfetta aderenza stilistica.

The first evening of August began with an intriguing experience, walking down the narrow street in the beautiful town of Sarzana, entering through an unimposing door and finding oneself in Teatro Impavidi, a gem of an early 19th century theatre. Red seats, gold-fringed curtains, cream paintwork and a beautiful, painted cupola ceiling. Britten’s opera The Turn of the Screw was staged in a theatre echoing that of its premiere at La Fenice, Venice and directed by young director, Michel El Ghoul with conductor Giuseppe Bruno and Orchestra of Teatro Carlo Felice. The haunting, mysterious tale unfolded seamlessly with sets and costumes also created by the director and the singers spun their magic with their idiomatic and masterful performances.

Per quanto sia difficile alzarsi dal letto all'alba o ti**re dritto dal giorno prima senza dormire, l'esperienza all'alba sulla spiaggia della Marinella — con il chiaro di luna che cedeva il passo a un sole velato, il mare che accarezzava la sabbia e Miriam Prandi che eseguiva le Suite per violoncello di Bach — è stata magica e rigenerante; a confermarlo non siamo noi, na le cento persone che si sono sedute sulle poche sedie o sulla sabbia, rapite in una silenziosa contemplazione!

We couldn't get to the ocean so the ocean came to us!
created a whole world where we could experience the depth of the sea, and think of what we could do to preserve life. The show was woven together by .cellist and masterful ex*****on at cello and organ.
