Il progetto Milano Session Trail nasce nel 2022 nel cuore della vivace comunità di musica tradizionale irlandese in Lombardia. Anche in Italia, infatti, questo genere ha radici profonde: da decenni si tengono session ed eventi di altissima qualità che arricchiscono il panorama musicale locale. Nato inizialmente in collaborazione con l’Associazione Cailin Rua di Padova c
ome sezione lombarda, dal 2026 il progetto prosegue il suo viaggio in modo indipendente.
🎯 La nostra missione
Siamo un collettivo di musicisti guidati da un’unica, genuina passione. Creare community: organizziamo session regolari nei pub della zona, portando l'atmosfera delle tipiche session irlandesi nei pub a due passi da casa. Eventi: grazie a queste serate, finanziamo concerti ed eventi straordinari, invitando in Italia musicisti di fama internazionale direttamente dall’Irlanda. Tutto questo è possibile grazie alla dedizione disinteressata dei musicisti del collettivo.
🎻 Spazio alla didattica
La musica irlandese è condivisione. Per questo ci dedichiamo anche alla formazione con:
Slow Session mensile: un incontro a ritmo ridotto, pensato appositamente per permettere a principianti e novizi di inserirsi e suonare insieme. Workshop di strumento: masterclass aperte a tutti i livelli per approfondire lo stile e la tecnica. Sei un musicista?

Milano Session Trail is a non-profit project born in 2022 at the heart of the vibrant traditional Irish music community in Lombardy. Even in Italy, this genre has deep roots: for decades, high‑quality sessions and events have enriched the local musical landscape. Initially created in collaboration with the Cailin Rua Association of Padua as its Lombard branch, since 2026 the project has continued its journey independently.
🎯 Our Mission
We are a non-profit collective of musicians driven by a single, genuine passion. Build community — we organise regular pub sessions across the region, bringing the atmosphere of authentic Irish sessions to venues just around the corner. Create events — thanks to these sessions, we fund exceptional concerts and special events, inviting internationally renowned musicians from Ireland to perform in Italy. All of this is made possible by the selfless dedication of the musicians in the collective.

Irish music is all about sharing. This is why we also focus on education through:
Monthly Slow Session — a beginner‑friendly session at a slower pace, created to help newcomers learn tunes, join in and play together. Instrument Workshops — open to all levels, offering in‑depth work on style and technique
