What happens when you sink a betrayal into bottomless moonlit water?

It comes back from the black for revenge.

On Soundcloud now. Ronja pulls an ancient Scandinavian ghost story up from the deep and drags it straight into the modern circuitry of The Datura Tapes.

"No Cover No" is Scandi-noir stripped of its sleekness and re-engineered as an intimate, terrifying act of vengeance. Driven by a commanding feminine contralto, dissonant microtonal choral pads, and a suffocating acid-bass growl, Ronja's new track is an insatiable shadow.

You can't escape her, there is only the freezing weight of the lake.

We’ve been quiet. Not because the tape stopped rolling, but because we were rebuilding the studio foundation from the concrete up.

Welcome to the new digital home of The Datura Tapes—now fully unified as a creative trinity with Datura Press, and under the global NxN () umbrella. Built to house the sound, the text, and the physical artefacts exactly how we intended. No algorithms, no corporate noise.

Following on from Lillit Vega's Palermo Promo, darkStylus has taken the master stems of Amarah’s first release for us "Y'Catch On T'Me" and dragged them down into the cellar. The Sly Stepper Mix dials the tempo back into a sultry, suffocating menace—thick sub-bass, fractured syncopation, and a groove that feels like driving thru the Kingston backroads in the tarmac scorching noonday heat.

The visual identity for this transmission comes straight from the boards at FugaceFugace. Rei Zamane designed and executed the bespoke 'Quadrillah' coat and structured suit worn by Amarah in the archival portrait—a sharp, tactile silhouette engineered to match the heavy geometry of the audio.

The Datura Tapes are rolling.

For the longest time, this archive lived in the margins—frantic GroupMe chats, bleeding eardrums in crowded coffee bars, late-night master sessions under duvets, and crashing on the digital sofa of our sister house, . We were just throwing frequencies into the dark, hoping someone would tune into the signal.

We finally have our own architecture. More space for the artists, the unedited tracks, the midnight mixes, and the deep vaults of the DarkArc Catalogue. It’s the central mix-desk connecting us directly to Hana’s crew at in NY and the visual masterminds at right here in Florence.

To mark the new frequency, we’re collaborating across the trinity on a series of physical and digital drops that blur the line between text, garment, and sound.

We had to start with Lillit Vega—the voice that initiated the archive with killer track, The Great CollideHer. She’s wearing FugaceFugace’s 'Palermo' suit inspired by her home town, captured in the violet shadows of the city ahead of her new single, 'Holiday'.

More magic is afoot at DarkArc studios

Swedish pop-witch Ronja is revving up for some new releases, so our sister studio FugaceFugace ceated this suit, Ödet (The Fates) for her.

Sharp tailored felt, but with hand stitched Nordic incantations.

Meanwhile our in-house beats team, darkStylus have a new mad Krautrock tune, 'Ondes Ödet' for her to bop round the studio to, so expect her to set her weird witchcrafted poetry to it soon.
