She graduated in Sculpture (2009), in Visual Arts and New Expressive Languages (2014) and Painting (2020) at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, Tuscany. She was the winner of 1st Italian National Arts Prize – Sculpture section, in 2013. In 2015, she was invited at the 56th International Art Exhibition "All the World's Futures" – Venice Biennale. Her works have been exhibited in the national and
international art scene, and are part of permanent private and public collections such as that of the MacS-Museum of Contemporary Art in Catania, Sicily. Messana’s works are Icons that, by transfiguring themselves, become iconoclastic contemporary allegories and face without filtering the contemporary social delirium which the artist approaches through sculpture-installation, painting, photography. Works made in materials ranging from synthetics to textiles, from wood to organic, from stone to metal.
