Casa ai prati by ACT_ROMEGIALLI
The project site is at the edge of the built area of the village of Regoledo in the municipality of Cosio Valtellina. The site of the house is limited by an area of small “scattered” residences and a large green space called “Prati del Bitto” which extends from the north of the site to the banks of the river Adda.

From this demarcation between habited areas and agricultural land, the project is born. Stone walls and “muracche” even today define the limits of cultivated fields and provided inspiration for the project.
The dimension of the lot was sufficiently large to allow the project plan to have the living spaces on one level.

N Building by LCA Architetti
For its latest project, LCA Architetti designed the building’s outer facades and provided energy consulting to meet the goal of an energy-efficient, completely passive industrial space. The project’s main goal was to highlight the building’s high level of sustainability; this was achieved through the architecture itself, and specifically the design of two main facades (West and South).

These face two very high-traffic roads: the A8 Highway on the West side, and the State Road 20 on the South side. The West facade - which faces the highway - aims at clearly representing Novello’s work and business: logistics and the production of wooden homes and packaging.

House Rio by Krupinski/Krupinska Arkitekter
The site is exceptional: a dramatic slope covered in lush vegetation, landing flush with the surface of Lake Järlasjön. The house, on the other hand – a once modest 1920’s single-family self-build which had been eagerly, but not always carefully, expanded in every direction during the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s – was quite unremarkable. However, the young couple was smitten – they wanted a house with traces of time and stories to tell.

Having intimately studied the current state as well as the historical changes to the house, the original 1920s ground floor, and its 1970s expansion were identified as most worthy of preservation.

Dzen House by Shovk Studio .studio
Dzen House is a sanctuary crafted for those in pursuit of serenity and unity with nature and the universe within the confines of their home. Its architectural design and intricate details pay homage to Japanese traditions, featuring an overarching roof with exposed structures, wood cladding using the kisugi technique, a streamlined layout, and a tatami area on the second floor.

The ground level encompasses a communal space housing the kitchen and living area, with a functional nucleus at its heart accommodating the staircase, bathroom, and utility rooms.

RVTK Residential Building by Massner Architects
The family residence is located above the market town Silandro, on the south-facing slope of the Val Venosta Montesole Mountain. Nestled on the steep and warm dry slopes we find single and multiple family homes with gardens as well as vineyards.

On the opposite side of the valley, the Montetramontana mountain with its flush meadows and forests rises to impressive summits. The valley plain spreads graciously from east to west, steadily inclining to the west towards Resia Pass, here and there interrupted by alluvial fans.

Novello Abbey Museum Auditorium by MoDus Architects .architects
Founded in 1142 and nestled within the vineyard-lined basin of the Eisack valley near Bressanone (Italy), the abbey not only represents one of the most significant architectural ensembles in South Tyrol today but also stands as a preeminent Augustinian Abbey of its time.

Like a small, self-sufficient village, each building within the monastery complex played a specific role: the constituent churches, chapels, mills, workshops, wine cellars, and farmhouses formed an indelible nucleus—only a portion of which has been converted into a museum.
