A rug freely inspired by the compositions of Sonia Delaunay. The combination of graphics, geometry and colour creates an apparently spontaneous pattern and a visual language inspired by the 1920s.
Geometric elements are harmoniously arranged like a musical score made of pauses, solos, semitones and counterpoints. Against a delicate background of natural, undyed wool, a subtle touch of coloured silk emerges, creating a harmonious relationship reminiscent of musical notes playing together in rhythm and melody.
The rug is available with different colours for the silk details and can be made in sizes selected by the client.

The space became part of the story.

For the cc-tapis × Fornasetti exhibition, the interiors of Boralevi Firenze were transformed to welcome the collection, creating a setting where each rug could engage with the architecture, colours, and surrounding elements.
A balance between pattern and surface, fullness and emptiness, heritage and contemporary language.

This is how the gallery looked during the exhibition: not simply a display space, but an environment designed around the works and the extraordinary visual world they represent.

Vittore Sangiacomo, Along the Path, designed in 1990.
Hand-knotted rug made from pure wool yarn on a cotton warp. The piece was produced by Elio Palmisano’s atelier, one of the very few Italian workshops — if not the only one — to have created such a significant number of tapestries and rugs during the second half of the twentieth century.
Working in close collaboration with contemporary artists, between 1968 and 2005 the atelier developed a collection of almost 320 different designs.

A chapter comes to a close.
The cc-tapis × Fornasetti exhibition at Boralevi Firenze has officially ended, leaving behind days of design, encounters, conversations, and shared inspiration.
Our sincere thanks to cc-tapis for choosing Boralevi Firenze to host this special project, and to everyone who visited, joined us, and experienced the exhibition with us.
It was a pleasure to welcome you into our spaces and to share a collection where contemporary design meets the extraordinary visual heritage of Fornasetti.

The Campiture rugs explore the dynamic possibilities created by the composition of geometric lines, conceived as a primary expression of beauty and movement.
The relationship between lines and areas of colour, the palette selected for the collection and the resulting two-tone combinations are guided by an intuitive search for balance and formal perfection. Through geometry, Elisa Ossino explores a profound sense of spirituality and the natural harmony towards which abstraction tends.
The rugs can also be custom-made in different sizes and colours.

From the project itself to the people who experienced it.
The cc-tapis × Fornasetti exhibition transformed the spaces of Boralevi Firenze into a meeting point between design, art, and the culture of rugs.

Days filled with images, encounters, details, and conversations, where rugs inspired by the historic Fornasetti archive became part of a shared visual story.
A project we were delighted to host — and, above all, to experience together with everyone who came to visit us.

Thank you to all those who joined us and helped make these days so special.

The Kaudani Kilim is a flatwoven, pileless textile produced on traditional horizontal looms using a weft-faced tapestry technique.
Its craftsmanship carries within it centuries of weaving tradition belonging to the pastoral communities of north-eastern Afghanistan.
The term Kaudani refers to a Turkmen-Uzbek ethnic group settled primarily in the provinces of Kunduz and Baghlan, in northern Afghanistan.
Its most recognisable feature is its geometry: diamonds, triangles, meandering borders and eye-like göl motifs alternate in balanced compositions.
The palette traditionally favours deep reds, indigo, black and the natural shades of undyed wool, as beautifully illustrated by the example presented here.

Contemporary Turkish Ushak rugs are designed for those seeking the historical allure of a hand-knotted carpet interpreted through the language of modern interior design.
Their defining feature is a palette of soft, luminous tones, often built around ivory, cream, pearl grey, taupe and subtly desaturated pastel shades.
In contrast with the intricate compositions of many traditional Oriental carpets, contemporary Ushak designs tend to feature broader, more spacious motifs, frequently without a dominant central element.
They are predominantly woven from high-quality wool, often hand-spun to enhance both softness and durability.
To achieve the aged character favoured in contemporary interiors, many pieces undergo a specialised antiquing process. This softens chromatic contrasts and creates a more harmonious, gently timeworn appearance.

The exhibition dedicated to Fornasetti rugs is now officially open.
Among the featured pieces is this striking interpretation of one of Piero Fornasetti’s most enduring motifs: the hand, conceived as both an instrument of creation and a subject of artistic expression.
Throughout Fornasetti’s visual universe, hands appear holding pencils, adorned with jewellery, playing with butterflies or raising glasses in a toast—reflecting his fascination with anatomical drawing and transforming an everyday gesture into a recurring decorative language.
Proudly handcrafted in India, this 100% wool rug is created using the traditional chain stitch technique, in which interlinked loops form a continuous pattern across the surface. Hand embroidery is then added as a further ornamental layer, enriching the composition with subtle relief and tactile detail, almost like a jewel resting on the hand itself.
Conceived to be displayed either on the floor or as a wall hanging, the rug becomes a versatile decorative piece in which craftsmanship, symbolism and storytelling come together.
Made to order, the rug can be customised in both dimensions and colour combinations.
