Hand-knotted by skilled artisans, Taimany rugs embody the rich cultural heritage of weaving and the poetic, vibrant spirit of the eponymous people of Afghanistan.
Their instinctive patterns and distinctive colour combinations reinterpret a harmonious tribal tradition through a contemporary visual language, creating pieces that feel both deeply rooted and remarkably current.
Today, rug production in Afghanistan is carried out almost entirely by women, for whom weaving represents one of the few forms of productive work still accessible under the restrictions imposed by the country’s current political regime.

This rug belongs to a distinctive group of pomegranate-pattern carpets produced in the oasis cities of Yarkand and Khotan.
Located in Eastern Turkestan, Khotan prospered thanks both to the fertility of its land and to its strategic position along the Silk Road, where it became an important point of passage for caravans travelling towards India.
The pomegranate holds a special place in numerous cultures and is among the most widespread symbols found in Oriental carpets. From Persia, its imagery travelled throughout Asia along the routes of the Silk Road.
Requiring little water and capable of thriving in difficult soil, the pomegranate came to represent a miracle of life and abundance. Its symbolic meanings—fertility, prosperity and wealth—are beautifully preserved within the design of this remarkable rug.

Dating from the late nineteenth century, this Peking rug is both profoundly historical and strikingly modern.
It is historical because it was created in the same prestigious workshops that produced precious carpets for the dignitaries of the Imperial Court. At the time, only the most privileged households could possess objects of such refinement and quality.
Yet its unusually restrained, minimalist pattern gives the rug a remarkably contemporary presence. Open-field examples from this period are extremely rare and highly sought after by interior designers, as they offer elegant and unconventional possibilities for both classical and modern spaces

In the creative dialogue between Fornasetti and cc-tapis, the battipanni—originally a household tool used to beat and clean rugs—abandons its practical purpose to become a bold and purely graphic motif.
Transformed into an unexpected decorative symbol, it embodies the playful irony that has always distinguished Fornasetti’s work: an imagination capable of challenging convention and elevating an everyday object into art.
Hand-knotted in Nepal from a refined blend of wool and viscose, the rug combines tactile richness, visual impact and exceptional craftsmanship.
Available to order with bespoke colour combinations and customised dimensions.
This piece anticipates the creative collaborations and new stories that will continue to unfold with cc-tapis in September.
Stay tuned.

Striped rugs offer an original and contemporary way to introduce character, rhythm and visual energy into an interior.
Their linear patterns can subtly alter the perception of a room, creating movement and interrupting the uniformity of the surrounding space. Despite their apparent simplicity, striped compositions have the power to make an environment feel fresher, more dynamic and distinctly individual.
The true quality of such a rug lies in the skill of the weaver: finding the perfect balance between proportions, colours and tonal variations. This Gabbeh is a particularly refined expression of that harmony.

Hand-knotted in India from pure silk, this exceptional rug pays tribute to Venice and, in particular, to the shifting reflections created by water and light throughout the city’s canals.
Silk lies at the heart of the design, enriching the decorative motifs with extraordinary luminosity, softness and depth. Its surface captures and reflects light, allowing the colours to change subtly according to the surrounding environment.
Seductive and unconventional, the Laguna rug brings the emotional intensity of a painting into an interior. A unique and unrepeatable creation, conceived to lend a space an unmistakable sense of luxury and visual wonder.

This rug belongs to the Evolution on the Dancefloor project, through which designer Marta Bagante expresses her fascination with nature, transformation and the continuous movement of life.
The figure of the monkey is reimagined as a vibrant, dancing composition of colour, gradually dissolving into a multicoloured fringe. The result creates a delicate balance between the natural world, playful abstraction and contemporary design.
Despite its expressive modernity, the work remains deeply connected to textile tradition, recalling the ancient role of tapestries as visual narratives through which families, cultures and religions preserved their stories and legends.

The sun occupies a place of honour within Fornasetti’s iconic visual universe. In this extraordinary interpretation, it reaches an unprecedented level of magnificence.
Created for the new Fornasetti rug collection by cc-tapis, the original motif abandons its customary simplicity and becomes radiant, opulent and unmistakably baroque. The rays multiply into a dense composition of intricate details, forming a golden, curling mane around the celestial face.
A tribute to one of Piero Fornasetti’s most beloved themes, Re Sole becomes a theatrical presence: luminous, sophisticated and capable of transforming the entire space around it.
Available to order with personalised colour variations and made-to-measure dimensions.
On this radiant 15 August, Boralevi wishes you a joyful and memorable Ferragosto.
Stay tuned: September will bring exciting new stories and collaborations with cc-tapis!

Geometric elements reminiscent of the avant-garde textiles of the early twentieth century unfold in harmonious composition, creating a visual score of pauses, solos, semitones and counterpoints.
Designed by Studiopepe for cc-tapis, the collection draws freely from the work of Sonia Delaunay, the Ukrainian-born French artist and designer whose extraordinary exploration of colour, rhythm and abstraction left an indelible mark on the history of modern art.
The result is a rug with a vibrant yet perfectly balanced presence, suspended between art, design and musical movement.
Available to order with bespoke colour variations and customised dimensions.
