This piece has been acquired by Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen (KMSKA, Anversa) from Bottegantica.



Tree and Rose are rare examples of Futurist flowers in painted wood, conceived as sculptural presences intended to animate the modern environment. Their significance is further enhanced by their distinguished provenance: from the collection of Luce Balla in Rome, they passed, around 1960, to the renowned Detroit-based collector Lydia Winston Malbin, a key figure in the rediscovery and international dissemination of Italian Futurism.
