🇮🇹 In italiano ci sono due tempi del passato molto importanti: 👉 il passato prossimo e 👉 l’imperfetto
In Italian, there are two very important past tenses: the passato prossimo and the imperfetto.

Oggi vediamo come si usa l’imperfetto 👇 Today let’s look at how to use the imperfect tense.

1️⃣ Azioni abituali nel passato 🔁 👉 Habitual actions in the past

📌 Quando ero piccola andavo sempre al mare ad agosto 👉 When I was little, I always went to the seaside in August.

2️⃣ Descrizioni nel passato 🖼 👉 Descriptions in the past

📌 luoghi, emozioni, persone, situazioni… 👉 places, emotions, people, situations…

📌 La casa dei nonni era molto grande ed aveva un giardino bellissimo. Io ero sempre felice di andare da loro. 👉 My grandparents’ house was very big and had a beautiful garden. I was always happy to go there.

3️⃣ Azioni contemporanee nel passato ⏳ 👉 Actions happening at the same time in the past

✋ Il dito → le dita�👉 finger → fingers

🦵 Il ginocchio → le ginocchia�👉 knee → knees

👄 Il labbro → le labbra�👉 lip → lips

👂 L’orecchio → le orecchie�👉 ear → ears
