About Cinello
Cinello, a private company completely self-financed by the founders, has patented a new technology for the creation of DAW® – Digital Art Work: new digital editions of the greatest masterpieces in 1:1 scale, which are managed by a platform that uses ultramodern technology and respects all the obligations and requirements of artworks, first of all the uniqueness of the artwork itself. The platform has been developed by a team of Cinello’s engineers and it includes the most modern encryption and cryptography systems to guarantee the uniqueness and specialty of every DAW®
With the approval of MiBACT, Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, Cinello has made collaboration agreements with Complesso Monumentale della Pilotta of Parma, Foundation of Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Uffizi Galleries of Florence, Gallerie dell’Accademia of Venice, Museo di Palazzo Pretorio of Prato, Museo e Real di Bosco di Capodimonte of Naples, Pinacoteca di Brera and Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana of Milan: museums provide Cinello with the high resolution files of their most important masterpieces from which Cinello is able to create the DAW®, limited reproductions in real dimensions which are certified and uncopiable. For each work there are two numbered series of DAW®: one series in Arabic numerals for private collectors, and one in Roman numerals for museums and public and private entities all over the world who are interested in organizing exhibitions for educational and popular purposes of these “unmovable” masterpieces. Each DAW® will be accompanied with a certificate of authenticity signed by Cinello and the director of the museum of origin of the original work.
Half of the net sales revenues of the DAW® will go to the museums who own the copyrights of the original artworks, helping museums and the partner institutes to preserve the artworks in the best way possible.
In the future this innovative project will allow the digitalization and census of artworks kept in the museums of Italy, implementing an innovative and participatory way of promotion, protection, preservation and valorization of artistic heritage, and ensuring visibility and accessibility to all works, even those which have never been exhibited or published.
