Behind A2 — “Psychotic Reaction”
The vocal featured in Psychotic Reaction is taken from the 1966 CBC documentary How to Go Out of Your Mind, filmed at the Millbrook commune during a period when psychedelic culture was beginning to reshape the way people thought about perception and consciousness.
Rather than focusing on L*D itself, the interview reflects on something deeper: the idea that one meaningful experience, shared with the right people and in the right environment, can leave a lasting impact.
This concept would later become known as “set and setting”—the importance of mindset and surroundings in shaping an experience.
That atmosphere of curiosity, transformation, and altered perception became the inspiration behind A2 – Psychotic Reaction, translating the documentary’s message into a hypnotic, acid-driven journey.
