Males of “fermaid”are dwarfs compared to females, their size does not exceed 5 cm, they feed on crustaceans until they begin to parasitize, the way of existence of adult males is unique, this is not found in any of the known animals. The male attracts the female with his scent, then swims up to her, bites into the female’s stomach and sticks together so closely that they become one. He will receive nutrients from her for the rest of his life, and in return she will receive seminal fluid from him and lay eggs. Gradually, the males turn into simple appendages for the production of s***m; on the body of some females there were up to 6 parasitic males at the same time. During spawning, anglerfish rise to a height of up to 200 meters, and at this time there have been cases of them attacking humans.

Amphitrite

As a sea goddess, she was often depicted seated next to her husband on a chariot, drawn by sea horses or tritons, or riding on a triton. Amphitrite was revered by many on a par with Poseidon, and statues were erected to her, for example in the temple on the island of Tenos. In fine art, it is difficult to distinguish her from other Nereids if there are no royal attributes or a trident near her.
