Today I challenged myself with drawing one of my favourite passages from Shakespeare, honestly, I could talk about it for hours ❤️

🇵🇹Hoje desafiei-me a criar uma ilustração baseada numa nas minhas passagens preferidas de Shakespeare, da peça Sonho de Uma Noite de Verão. Algo simples mas que trouxesse as palavras do bardo para um meio diferente.

✨Happy Valentine’s Day✨

To all the singles, the couples, and even to the ones in situationships: happy love day! Come on, I know all these "love is in the air" messages can get tiring, especially for us single folks, but it’s also so nice to have a day just to think about love and who we love.

As the lit graduate I am, I tend to overcomplicate and overthink things (yay me!). But there are two things regarding love that have always stuck with me:

❤️ Did you know the Greeks differentiated kinds of love? My favoritos are Eros (sexual and sensual love), Agape (brotherly love, a transcendent love), and Philia (friendship).

❤️ Dante wrote my favourite sentence about love: "the Love that moves the sun and the other stars"

I hope that your heart is full and contempt today ❤️ sending you lots of love and hugs 💞

Feliz dia de São Valentim! ❤️

Desejo a todos um feliz dia do amor, quer estejam numa relação ou não! Sei que a certa altura do campeonato todos estes posts acerca de amor, amar e amasso ficam cansativos, mas penso que passa por tentarmos mudar de perspetiva.

Na minha solteirice crónica aprendi a olhar para este dia como uma altura para refletir acerca das pessoas que, de uma forma ou de outra, estão no meu coração. É claro, que tendo também a grave aflição de ser artista e estudante de literatura, eu simplesmente amo amar o amor e complicar demasiado as coisas (go Tiz 😂).

Portanto vou-vos deixar os meus factos amorosos preferidos:

❤️ os Gregos consideravam que há vários tipos de amor (e até tinham nomes para cada um!). Os meus preferidos são Eros (amor sensual, sexual), Ágape (amor filial, amor transcendente) e Philia (amizade).

❤️ Dante, o eterno romântico, escreveu a minha frase romântica preferida (se não tivesse medo de tatuagens até tatuava): "o Amor que move o sol e as outras estrelas".

Espero que tenham gostado deste pequeno interlúdio 😂 De qualquer forma, que tenham um dia (e uma vida) cheia de amor e carinho (incluindo por vós mesmos) ❤️

🌸You’re beautiful🌸

Finding beauty in yourself and in your body is essential to everyone. The media has a tendency to normalize a specific body type, one without curves, without flabby skin, without stretch marks, etc. However, those things are normal and beautiful, they are apart of many people’s bodies and they are a part of life and reality.
Don’t forget to look in the mirror and see how beautiful you really are ❤️

Still needed to post my last drawing of 2021! I watched all in two days while I was sick and I loved it.

I tried to draw Ciri in what I would classify as sort of successful attempt. I still need to remember that I’m getting better and with time I’ll continue on that path ✨

Sooooo…. I’m addicted to You Knock On My Door ( ) ✨❤️

Because of that I had to draw these two (Serkam and Eda). Their chemistry is one of the best parts of the show. That and the telenovela dramatic vibes. I love it 🥰

I haven't shared anything in a bit because life things got in the way but after a few months I finally finished another landscape study. I feel like I'm getting better and developing some sort of a style 💖 I can only hope to keep improving

Sharing some old work today! 🎨 I painted this Persephone in 2016, although, to be honest, it feels like it was forever ago. Sometimes we feel pressured to produce new excellent work... as if art worked like a factory! Well, it doesn't.

I still really love this painting. 🖌️ I love her look and how fierce she appears to be behind her beauty. I remember choosing an apple instead of a pomegranate because of the overlap with the forbidden fruit from the Bible. 🍎 In a way, both women ate the forbidden fruit and suffered the consequences.

Never forget the magic of creating your old work. ❤️ We evolve but our art carries our minds' stories ✨

I love using old travel photos as references for sketching 💖 this one is from my travel to Milan a few years ago. I just loved how the tower seemed to peek through the canopy.
