✨Colombo taught us about the future✨

Joe Colombo would disassemble and reassemble car parts to understand how they worked. Then, he would use them to race. Of each project he would draw everything, including the bolts. He was passionate about new materials, which in his case was plastic. In his hands, fiberglass, ABS, polyethylene, PVC and methacrylates became the material of choice for design.🧠

Colombo was also a pipe smoker: he had designed one, the Optimal 121, and who could have imagined a glass like Smoke, to be held with the thumb, leaving the index and middle fingers free to hold a cigarette, if not him?😜
