GATE8 is looking for a Guest Choreographer (under 35) for the 2027 edition of Gate8 Workshop Young.

📍 Chiavari, Italy
📅 January 2–6, 2027

An international intensive contemporary dance experience for young dancers aged 11–17, bringing together participants from around the world in a shared creative environment.

We are looking for an artist with a strong interest in creative research, experimentation, and artistic processes, capable of guiding young dancers through an authentic journey of artistic and personal growth.

✔ Accommodation & meals covered
✔ Round-trip travel within Europe covered
✔ Artistic fee: €1,500

⏳ Application deadline: June 30, 2026

Like the feeling when a familiar song comes up on the radio, the work investigates how memory and nostalgia move through the body. It also questions performance itself: what is real? What is disguise? Are the dancers honest or are they undercover?

Or maybe both are true?

Thanks very much to all of you, Gate 8 team really believe in this project, this is the 7th year of and we are very proud to share it with all these beautiful and different artists from all over the world 🌏

This is for them, to get the chance to meet new people to share points of view to perform on stage and to always have an open mind while discovering themselves in a safe space.
