Capri is increasingly establishing itself as an international hub for contemporary art. At the Liquid Art System gallery, founder Franco Senesi welcomed his friend Jago, celebrating his extraordinary sculptural talent and unique creative vision.�These two artists have developed a dialogue exploring living and accessible art. This cultural ferment sees the Municipality of Capri as a key supporter and a true springboard for the sector, finding its highest expression today in the Jago Museum Capri at Villa Lysis, where large-scale sculpture meets the architecture and memory of the island.

Capri si conferma sempre più scenario internazionale per l’arte contemporanea. Nella galleria Liquid Art System, il founder Franco Senesi ha accolto l’amico Jago, celebrandone lo straordinario talento scultoreo e una visione creativa unica.�Dall’intesa tra i due nasce un dialogo che esplora l’arte viva e accessibile. Un fermento culturale che vede il Comune di Capri come supporto fondamentale e vero trampolino di lancio per il settore, trovando oggi la sua massima espressione nel Jago Museum Capri a Villa Lysis, dove la grande scultura incontra l'architettura e la memoria dell'isola.

Marco Grassi’s painting exists in the space between figuration and abstraction.

His iconic close-up portraits of young women often emerge against gold backgrounds, recalling the solemn presence of Byzantine icons while being disrupted by the urgency of the contemporary. Colour takes over the drawing, spreading across the surface through scratches, gestures and layers of paint.

The figure is never completely fixed. It appears, shifts and almost disappears within the pictorial matter, transforming the portrait into a space of tension, energy and emotion.

A visual language where beauty is not simply represented, but constantly challenged and redefined.

La pittura di Marco Grassi vive nello spazio tra figurazione e astrazione.

I suoi iconici ritratti ravvicinati di giovani donne emergono spesso su fondi dorati, richiamando la solennità delle icone bizantine, ma vengono attraversati dall’energia del contemporaneo. Il colore prende il sopravvento sul disegno, diffondendosi sulla superficie attraverso graffi, gesti e stratificazioni pittoriche.

La figura non è mai completamente definita. Appare, si trasforma e quasi si dissolve nella materia pittorica, trasformando il ritratto in uno spazio di tensione, energia ed emozione.

Un linguaggio visivo in cui la bellezza non viene semplicemente rappresentata, ma continuamente messa in discussione e ridefinita.

There is a point where the figure ceases to be merely an image and becomes tension, memory, a state of mind.

In Abisso Ordinato, Fabio Abbreccia constructs the portrait through dense, tactile painting, where colour does not simply describe the body, but moves through its emotional dimension.

The figure emerges while also seeming to dissolve into the paint, suspended between presence and memory. It is within this instability that the artist’s research takes shape: a contemporary form of figuration capable of transforming the face and body into an inner landscape.

C’è un punto in cui la figura smette di essere soltanto immagine e diventa tensione, memoria, stato d’animo.

In Abisso Ordinato, Fabio Abbreccia costruisce il ritratto attraverso una pittura densa e materica, in cui il colore non descrive semplicemente il corpo, ma ne attraversa la dimensione emotiva.

La figura emerge e allo stesso tempo sembra dissolversi nella pittura, sospesa tra presenza e memoria. È proprio in questa instabilità che prende forma la ricerca dell’artista: una figurazione contemporanea capace di trasformare il volto e il corpo in una mappa interiore.

In Atrani, art remains part of the landscape.

The installations by Peppe Perone, Marco Cornini and Giacinto Bosco continue to inhabit the village, creating a dialogue between art, architecture and the Mediterranean.

An invitation to encounter art beyond the traditional spaces of the gallery, along a route that unfolds through Atrani and will remain on view until October.

Between precision and vision, Elisa Anfuso’s painting inhabits a space where reality seems to slowly transform into a dream.

Her figures emerge from suspended landscapes, surrounded by flowers, animals and symbolic presences that expand the meaning of portraiture and open the scene to a more intimate, unconscious dimension.

The precision of detail meets an almost surreal sensitivity: faces, gestures and gazes seem to belong to an undefined time, while echoes of Renaissance portraiture coexist with a deeply contemporary imagination.

In Elisa Anfuso’s work, beauty is never only what appears on the surface. It is something that gradually emerges between reality, memory and imagination.

Tra precisione e visione, la pittura di Elisa Anfuso abita uno spazio in cui la realtà sembra lentamente trasformarsi in sogno.

In Peppe Perone's art, the everyday can suddenly take on a different meaning.
Familiar objects are removed from their usual function and transformed through unexpected associations, creating images suspended between reality and imagination.
Sculpture becomes a space of freedom, where irony, lightness and surprise coexist, inviting us to look at what we know from a different perspective.
Within the landscape of the Amalfi Coast, his forms enter into dialogue with architecture, the sea and the light, leaving the boundary between what is possible and what we can imagine deliberately open.

Nell'arte di Peppe Perone, ciò che appartiene alla quotidianità può improvvisamente cambiare significato.
Oggetti riconoscibili vengono sottratti alla loro funzione e trasformati attraverso accostamenti inattesi, dando vita a immagini sospese tra realtà e immaginazione.
La scultura diventa così uno spazio di libertà, dove ironia, leggerezza e sorpresa convivono e invitano a guardare ciò che conosciamo da una prospettiva diversa.
Nel paesaggio della Costiera, le sue forme entrano in dialogo con l'architettura, il mare e la luce, lasciando aperto il confine tra ciò che è possibile e ciò che possiamo immaginare.

Forms that stretch, fold and search for a way through.

In Stefania Vichi’s works, drapery moves across the material in a continuous, visceral flow, shaping compressed bodies, marked surfaces and tensions that seem to push beyond the boundaries of the artwork.

The spheres bursting from the form, the broken edges and the openings across the surface become symbols of possibility: ways out, solutions and new spaces for transformation.

Sculpture thus becomes a reflection on complexity, but also on hope—an invitation to look beyond obstacles and recognise, even within moments of rupture, the beginning of something new.

Forme che si tendono, si piegano e cercano un varco.

Nelle opere di Stefania Vichi, il drappeggio attraversa la materia come un movimento continuo e viscerale, modellando corpi compressi, superfici segnate e tensioni che sembrano spingersi oltre i confini dell’opera.

Le sfere che esplodono fuori dalla forma, i margini spezzati e le aperture che interrompono la superficie diventano simboli di possibilità: vie d’uscita, soluzioni, nuovi spazi di trasformazione.

La scultura si fa così riflessione sulla complessità, ma anche sulla speranza. Un invito a guardare oltre gli ostacoli e a riconoscere, anche nei punti di rottura, l’inizio di qualcosa di nuovo.
