🔥 CUSTODIRE IL SILENZIO
Quest'anno il tema della XIV Biennale di Arte Fabbrile è un apparente ossimoro.
Usare il ferro, materia di rumore e fuoco, per custodire il silenzio.
Ma custodire non significa chiudere o trattenere. Custodire significa proteggere ciò che è vivo.
Come la brace nella forgia, che viene protetta dal vento, alimentata e curata affinché non si spenga, anche il silenzio richiede attenzione, responsabilità e cura.
Il silenzio non è assenza.
È l'attimo sospeso tra l'alzata del martello e il colpo.
È il momento in cui il pensiero trova la sua forma e guida la mano dell'artigiano.
Queste le linee guida, per realizzare le opere della XIV edizione del S.Marco Iron fest.

🔥 PRESERVING SILENCE
This year's theme for the 14th International Blacksmithing Biennial is an apparent paradox:
Using iron, a material of noise and fire, to preserve silence.
But preserving does not mean locking away or holding back. To preserve means to protect what is alive.
Just as the embers in a forge are shielded from the wind, fed, and cared for so they do not fade away, silence too requires attention, responsibility, and care.
Silence is not absence.
It is the suspended moment between raising the hammer and striking the blow.
It is the moment when thought takes shape and guides the artisan's hand.
These are the guiding principles for the works to be created for the 14th Edition of the San Marco Iron Fest.
