Meet our wonderful teacher Fabiana Pastorini! 🎉

💃 Fabiana teaches Dance for Health, Joy of Dance Contemporary 50+ and Breathwave Dance!

Fabiana Pastorini embarked on her dancing education at the National Ballet Academy in Bueno Aires. After graduation she met Fredy Romero the leading dancer of Alvin Ailey and Director of the Ballet Contemporanero of the San Martin theatre, the most significant Argentinian modern dance troupe. Frey Romero has been her Graham dance tutor for many years and she learned improvisation with legendary Argentinian dancer Maria F*x. 🇦🇷

In New York she later trained in the Martha Graham School and Horton Technique in the Alvin Ailey Dance School. In Europe she has been the choreographic assistant to, and dancer for, Ismael Ivo and also taught at the ballet academy of the Vienna Opera, the Vienna Conservatory and the Impulstanz Vienna and theTanzimpulsen in Salzburg. ✨

She is a qualified kinesiologist and integrative breathing trainer and has developed her unique Dance for Health method. 🧚‍♂️

Meet our amazing teacher and artistic director Sharon Booth! 🔥

Sharon is teaching Pilates and Modern Taylor at this years festival!

Born in Montreal, Canada Sharon Booth began dancing at a very young age. After attending the National Ballet School and the Banff Centre, Sharon graduated from the Juilliard School with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1999. She performed with Smuin Ballet and Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal before sustaining an injury that effectively ended her onstage career. ⚡️

Moving to Europe, Sharon became a certified Pilates instructor and joined the faculty of the Wiener Staatsoper and has guested at the Musik und Kunst Privat Universität Wien. 👏

Since 2010 she has taught contemporary and modern dance workshops at Tanz Bozen and completed her certification in holistic dance therapy. In 2016, Sharon took over the artistic direction of the course program of Tanz Bozen-Bolzano Danza. 🎉

In 2020, Sharon opened her own dance studio "InDancity" in Vienna.

Contemporary dance has no generally binding dance technique, but a mixture of different dance forms - from classical up to the modern dance - and body work.

The individual mixture of the various elements depends on the personal experience and artistic objective of the teacher / choreographer.

At this years festival we’ve got some great instructors teaching contemporary. The courses will be taught by Blanka Flora Csasznyi, Ori Flomin, Jennifer Mann, Fabiana Pastorini and Natalia Viñas Roig.

Meet our incredible instructor Esther Cowens for the FIRST time! 🎉

Esther is teaching Contemporary, Modern, Improvisation, Modern Jazz KIDS at this years festival!

Berlin-based Esther Cowens holds a BFA with Honours from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and trained in Graham, Horton, and Taylor techniques.

She also studied at PHILADANCO and was a student and demonstrator for Master Graham teacher Pat Thomas. Esther attended Graham Teacher Intensive workshops, worked with choreographers Jennifer Mann, Heidi Weiss, and Alexandre Achour in Berlin and Group Motion, Subcircle, and RPM in Philadelphia, and performed in Disney’s The Lion King (Hamburg) and the film Across the Universe.

She is a resident faculty member at DANCEWORKS Berlin and a freelance instructor at the UDK Musical Theater Department.

Meet our amazing instructor Juanjo Hinojosa! 🔥

Juanjo teaches Latin Jazz, Lyrical Jazz at this years festival! 🙌

Born in Tarragona (Spain) Juanjo Hinojosa began his dance training as a Ballroom dancer with Spanish, Italian and belgium teachers. He reaches the top level of both modalities (Standard and Latin) and he got several times the final and semifinal of Spain Championship. He also was representing Spain in several international opens around Europe. 👏

After this period he was formed as a contemporary and jazz dancer in London, Spain and Germany. He made some collaborations as a dancer in TV, Cinema, Musicals, Operas and several dance companies. 🔥

As a dance teacher he gives regular classes and international dance workshop all over Europe, India and USA!

Some of the best news of the day was, that Extra Danza is back and will bring dance directly to the city and the citizens of Bozen.
