BAW - Bolzano Art Weeks is a collective art initiative, conceived and curated by Nina Stricker, organised by Cooperativa 19 and Südtiroler Künstlerbund, financed by the Departments of Italian and German Culture of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and the Stiftung Südtiroler Sparkasse, with the patronage and support of the municipality of Bolzano. Nelle sue opere, Federico Seppi racconta la natura come processo continuo, determinato da un rapporto radicale tra materia e ambiente. Le “Gocce” sono sculture in abete rosso ricoperte di metallo, spesso foglia rame, lasciato libero di ossidarsi nel tempo: l'opera muta, cambiando tinta in base alle condizioni atmosferiche del luogo che la accoglie, incorporando il trascorrere del tempo

Federico Seppi erzählt in seinen Werken die Natur als kontinuierlichen Prozess, bestimmt durch eine radikale Beziehung zwischen Materie und Umwelt. Die „Tropfen“ (Gocce) sind Skulpturen aus Fichtenholz, überzogen mit Metall, oft Kupferblatt, das frei oxidieren darf: Das Werk selbst verändert sich, wechselt seine Farbe je nach den atmosphärischen Bedingungen des Ortes, der es aufnimmt, und macht den Lauf der Zeit zu einem Teil seiner eigenen Form.

In his works, Federico Seppi tells of nature as a continuous process, shaped by a radical relationship between matter and environment. The “Drops” (Gocce) are sculptures in red spruce covered with metal, often copper leaf, left free to oxidize over time: the work itself changes, shifting tone according to the atmospheric conditions of the place that hosts it, absorbing the passing of time as part of its own form.

“An Amalgam Simulation” esplora i parallelismi tra processi geologici e digitali, dimostrando come strutture complesse emergano attraverso il caso, regole semplici e l'auto-organizzazione, senza un controllo umano diretto. L'opera video invita a ripensare i confini tra natura e tecnologia, tra organico e inorganico, e tra autorialità e autonomia.

„An Amalgam Simulation“ untersucht die Parallelen zwischen geologischen und digitalen Prozessen und zeigt, wie durch Zufall, einfache Regeln und Selbstorganisation komplexe Strukturen entstehen – ohne dass ein Mensch sie direkt kontrolliert. Damit regt die Arbeit dazu an, die Grenzen zwischen Natur und Technologie, Organischem und Anorganischem sowie Autorenschaft und Autonomie neu zu denken.

...“Prezzi d’asta alle stelle, chiusura delle gallerie, circuiti ottimizzati per la speculazione, presentazioni online che divorano tempo, disinteresse per le immagini, trasformazione degli status symbol, …L’arte ha ancora un legame con la vita reale e con la nostra quotidianità?”
Nel suo “Progetto A”, l’artista Stefan Fabi affronta questa urgente domanda attraverso la rappresentazione visiva. Utilizza l’antica tecnica della xilografia, nella quale una matrice di legno inchiostrata viene trasferita manualmente, esercitando una forte pressione, su un supporto di stampa.

✹ DEU ✹..“Haushohe Auktionspreise, Galeriesterben, spekulantenoptimierte Kreisläufe, zeitraubende Onlinedarbietungen, Desinteresse an Bildern, Verlagerung der Statussymbole, …Hängt die Kunst noch mit dem realen Leben und unserem Alltag zusammen?“ In seinem „Projekt A“ widmet sich Künstler Stefan Fabi dieser akuten Frage. Er arbeitet abbildartig und nutzt die alte Drucktechnik des Holzschnitts. Dabei wird mit viel Druck und per Hand eine eingefärbte Holzform auf einen Druckträger übertragen.

✹ ENG ✹..“Sky-high auction prices, the demise of galleries, cycles optimized for speculators, time-consuming online presentations, a lack of interest in images, a shift in status symbols... Is art still connected to real life and our everyday existence?”
In his “Project A”, artist Stefan Fabi addresses this urgent question through visual representation. To do so, he uses the traditional technique of woodcut printing, in which an inked wooden block is transferred by hand and under considerable pressure onto a printing surface.

Il corpo sa tutto - Avghi & Il corpo come paesaggio in trasformazione - Francesco Cigana

“Stare bene in questo corpo equivale a trovare quella posizione in cui stai bene, come in un giardino di mu**hi, muffe e piccoli fiori. I fiori continuano a cambiare, muoiono e tu con loro. Ricrescono in un altro punto, e tu devi cambiare posizione. Ricrescere.” (Avghi)

I lavori di Avghi, attraverso illustrazione, ceramica, scrittura e un murales realizzato per spazio AMA, interagiscono con un intervento sonoro che nasce dall'ascolto del corpo come paesaggio in trasformazione. La musica condivide il movimento delle opere: quello del perdere e ritrovare l'equilibrio, del germinare, del rifiorire. Attraverso l'improvvisazione e la ricerca elettroacustica, Francesco Cigana sviluppa una pratica d'ascolto che indaga le relazioni tra corpo, materia e trasformazione.

Avghis Arbeiten bestehen aus Illustrationen, Keramik, Texten und einem Wandgemälde, das für Spazio AMA geschaffen wurde. Verstärkend wirkt ein musikalischer Beitrag, der aus dem Zuhören des Körpers als sich wandelnde Landschaft entsteht. Die Musik teilt die Bewegung der Werke: das Verlieren und Wiederfinden des Gleichgewichts, das Keimen, das Wiedererblühen. Durch Improvisation und elektroakustische Forschung entwickelt Francesco Cigana eine Hörpraxis, die die Beziehungen zwischen Körper, Materie und Transformation erforscht.

Avghi’s works – through illustration, ceramics, writing and a mural created for spazio AMA – interact with a sound installation that arises from listening to the body as a landscape in transformation. The music shares the movement of the works: that of losing and regaining balance, of sprouting, of blooming again. Through improvisation and electroacoustic research, Francesco Cigana develops a listening practice that explores the relationships between body, substance, and transformation.

In occasione della giornata di BAW26 dedicata a Bolzano Ovest, cogli l’occasione per visitare il Piccolo Museion – Cubo Garutti e scoprire “ComeSe”, il nuovo progetto dell’artista multidisciplinare Martina Melilli, nato dal dialogo con le giovani persone coinvolte nel progetto Invisibili di La Strada – Der Weg, dedicato al ritiro sociale.
L’artista ha raccolto voci, riflessioni e desideri che oggi prendono forma in un’installazione e in una serie di manifesti diffusi tra il Cubo Garutti e lo spazio urbano.

Der Bozen West gewidmete Tag der BAW26 bietet die Gelegenheit, das Kleine Museion – Cubo Garutti zu besuchen und „ComeSe “ zu entdecken, das neue Projekt der multidisziplinären Künstlerin Martina Melilli. Es entstand aus dem Dialog mit den am Projekt Invisibili von La Strada – Der Weg beteiligten jungen Menschen, das sich dem Thema des sozialen Rückzugs widmet.
Die Künstlerin sammelte Stimmen, Gedanken und Wünsche, die heute in einer Installation und einer Reihe von Plakaten Gestalt annehmen, die sich zwischen dem Cubo Garutti und dem öffentlichen Raum entfalten.

On the day of BAW26 dedicated to Bolzano West, take the opportunity to visit Piccolo Museion - Cubo Garutti and discover “ComeSe”, the new project by multidisciplinary artist Martina Melilli. The project grew out of a dialogue with young people involved in Invisibili - an initiative by La Strada - Der Weg focused on the issue of social withdrawal.
The artist has gathered voices, reflections, and aspirations that now take shape in an installation and a series of posters displayed both at Cubo Garutti and throughout the urban space.

Immagina Bolzano nel 2050. La città è ormai quasi completamente ricoperta di cemento e il Parco Mignone rappresenta l'ultimo rifugio per la vita più-che-umana.
“Sounding Another Future” è una performance partecipativa che ti invita a entrare nei panni di una delle sei specie che abitano il giardino, sperimentando modi diversi di conoscere, percepire e abitare il mondo. Attraverso il gioco di ruolo, il movimento, il ritmo e la narrazione collettiva, esplorerai prospettive più-che-umane come strumento per immaginare futuri ecologici fondati sull'interdipendenza.

Stell dir Bozen im Jahr 2050 vor. Die Stadt ist fast vollständig von Beton bedeckt, und der Mignone Park ist der letzte Rückzugsort für mehr-als-menschliches Leben. “Sounding Another Future” ist eine partizipative Performance, die dich einlädt, in die Rolle einer von sechs Arten zu schlüpfen, die im Garten leben. Dabei erforschst du andere Arten des Wahrnehmens, Wissens und Seins. Durch Bewegung, Rhythmus und kollektives Erzählen eröffnen sich mehr-als-menschliche Perspektiven als Ausgangspunkt für die gemeinsame Entwicklung einer ökologisch geprägten Zukunftsvorstellung.

The city is almost entirely covered in concrete, and Parco Mignone stands as the last refuge for more-than-human life.“Sounding Another Future” is a participatory performance that invites you to step into the shoes of one of the six species inhabiting the garden, experiencing different ways of knowing, perceiving, and inhabiting the world. Through role-play, movement, rhythm, and collective storytelling, you will explore more-than-human perspectives as a tool for imagining ecological futures rooted in interdependence.

“The Fossil Clouds” di Tiberius Sanders immagina nuvole sottratte al loro continuo mutare e fissate a olio su tavola, come fossili di un tempo ancora presente. Il cielo diventa uno spazio sospeso, un archivio delle tracce che lasciamo nell’atmosfera. Durante l’opening, guest Marco Dalle Luche trasforma vento, tuoni e fenomeni atmosferici in una live sound performance, restituendo movimento e suono ai cieli immobili di Sanders.

„The Fossil Clouds“ von Tiberius Sanders zeigt Wolken, ihrem ständigen Wandel entzogen und in Öl auf Holz festgehalten - wie Fossilien einer noch gegenwärtigen Zeit. Der Himmel wird zum schwebenden Raum, zu einem Archiv unserer Spuren in der Atmosphäre. Beim Opening verwandelt Guest Marco Dalle Luche Wind, Donner und atmosphärische Phänomene in eine Live-Sound-Performance und bringt Bewegung und Klang in Sanders’ stillstehende Himmel zurück.

“The Fossil Clouds” by Tiberius Sanders imagines clouds removed from their constant state of change and fixed in oil on wood, like fossils of a time still present. The sky becomes a suspended space, an archive of the traces we leave in the atmosphere. For the opening, guest Marco Dalle Luche transforms wind, thunder and atmospheric phenomena into a live sound performance, bringing movement and sound back into Sanders’ motionless skies.
