Weigh Station ist Magnet, Promoter und Treffpunkt für eine Gemeinschaft junger Experten aus den Bereichen Kultur und Kreativität in Südtirol. Sie richtet sich außerdem an all jene, die sich von der kulturellen Szene der Region inspirieren lassen möchten und beobachtet aufmerksam was jenseits der Landesgrenzen passiert: existierende Best-Practice-Modelle in den verschiedenen Interessengebieten und die besten Kulturprojekte werden dabei herausgefiltert. Weigh Station ist ein Labor in ständiger Entwicklung, das aktuelle Aspekte der Innovation vertieft, die den Bedürfnissen der Kultur- und Kreativschaffenden entgegenkommen. Sie bietet Weiterbildung in Form von Workshops, Beratungen durch Experten und Gelegenheiten zum Netzwerken und Zusammenarbeiten. Weigh Station gibt der kreativen Arbeit ihre Bedeutung und ihren Wert zurück indem sie mit Sensibilisierungsmaßnahmen zur öffentlichen Diskussion einlädt.

Here’s where it all began:
Weigh station started in 2014 in Casa della Pesa when it was still an abandoned place.
The project started with a focus on creativity and work, and over time we became part of, and we helped build, a vast network of creatives in Südtirol that we call WS Wall, now joined by more than 700 people.
After the renovation of Casa della Pesa in 2019, we found our place at the second floor, come and find us!

As we get ready for the next chapter of Creative Mornings, we’re still holding onto the previous one.
During the activity hosted by , inspired by Koorsoo, we reflected together through images: which ones were giving us hope, and which ones were taking it away.

“In our darkest hours, when everything seems to have dimmed, sometimes a light remains—not bright, not certain, but real. That is Koorsoo. A faint glimmer of hope that dares to survive. Koorsoo is not about triumph or clarity; it is about the fragile yet unwavering light that keeps us going. A glance, a memory, a word. Small things that prevent collapse. It represents the quiet resilience of those who continue in spite of the weight, who believe without guarantee. In a world that often normalizes despair, Koorsoo is a rebellion; soft, but profound. It reminds us, even the smallest spark matters.”

As a new year begins, ask yourself, “what is giving me hope right now?”
It’s up to each of us to keep that little light shining. Protect it and hold it dear. But be careful not to smother it. Share your koorsoo with the people around you. Because the world needs all the hope it can get.

Venerdì scorso abbiamo ospitato il primo Creative Morning del 2026! Grazie a tutti coloro che hanno partecipato.

Il tema di gennaio era کورسو (KOORSOO). In farsi significa “un barlume di speranza”. È stato scelto dalla nostra sezione di Teheran in Iran.

Il nostro ospite, Khader, ci ha guidato in un'attività che utilizzava le immagini come punto di partenza per riflettere insieme su ciò che ci dà speranza. In tempi difficili, creare uno spazio per sostenerci a vicenda e condividere la speranza sembra più importante che mai.

Non vediamo l'ora di vedervi al prossimo Creative Morning, l'ultimo venerdì di febbraio.

Am vergangenen Freitag haben wir den ersten Creative Morning des Jahres 2026 veranstaltet! Vielen Dank an alle, die dabei waren.

Unser Thema für Januar war کورسو (KOORSOO). Auf Farsi bedeutet dies „ein Funken Hoffnung”. Es wurde von unserer iranischen Ortsgruppe in Teheran ausgewählt.

Unser Gastgeber Khader führte uns durch eine Aktivität, bei der wir anhand von Bildern gemeinsam darüber nachdachten, was uns Hoffnung gibt. In schwierigen Zeiten ist es wichtiger denn je, einen Raum zu schaffen, in dem wir uns gegenseitig unterstützen und Hoffnung teilen können.

Wir freuen uns darauf, Sie beim nächsten Creative Morning am letzten Freitag im Februar wiederzusehen.

2025 geht zu Ende, und wir tragen viele kostbare Momente in uns, die wir bei Weigh Station erleben durften. Unser Open Call 𝑻𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒍𝒂 𝑹𝒂𝒔𝒂 für junge Initiativen hat dieses Jahr besonders geprägt!
Am 3. Dezember fand der finale Event statt – 𝑻𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒍𝒂 𝑹𝒂𝒔𝒂 𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒘𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒆. 💫

Ein Abend um die sieben Initiativen aus dem Open Call kennenzulernen, die Menschen dahinter zu treffen und Zeit miteinander zu verbringen — mit Musik, warmen Getränken und vielen Gesprächen. Danke an die Initiativen zweifünf, Cycles of Repair, Ritagli di storie: Borse che raccontano, O:Play, Material Matters!, Kaleido und Crumb Collective, an verovasko & giunai für die Musik und an alle, die diesen Abend möglich gemacht und mitgetragen haben.

Con la fine del 2025 portiamo con noi molti momenti preziosi vissuti con Weigh Station. Il nostro Open Call 𝑻𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒍𝒂 𝑹𝒂𝒔𝒂 per giovani iniziative ha segnato in modo particolare quest’anno! Il 3 dicembre si è svolto l’evento finale – 𝑻𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒍𝒂 𝑹𝒂𝒔𝒂 𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒘𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒆. 💫

Una serata di incontro e condivisione e per conoscere le sette iniziative dell’open call, incontrare le persone che le animano e trascorrere tempo insieme — tra musica, bevande calde e tante conversazioni.

Wir gehen ins neue Jahr und tragen die kostbaren Momente mit uns, die wir bei Weigh Station erleben durften. 💫

Einer dieser Momente ist das öffentliche Programm Care x Wools, kuratiert von Merve Bektaş und Seçil Uğur Yavuz, entwickelt im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts Feral Wool an der Freien Universität Bozen–Bolzano. Die Fotos bringen zwei Teile des Programms zusammen.

Die ersten Bilder stammen aus Care x Wools N2: Schritt für Schritt, Passo per passo, Step by step, einer kollektiven Geh-Praxis im Gadertal (Alta Badia), die gemeinsam mit den Schäfer:innen Sandra Hofer und Daniel Paratschadurchgeführt wurde. Beim gemeinsamen Gehen, Schritt für Schritt, erkundeten wir die Beziehungen zwischen Schafen, Landschaft und Fürsorge und richteten unsere Aufmerksamkeit auf die Rhythmen des pastoralen Lebens und die Ökologien der Berge.

Der zweite Teil, Care x Wools N3: Staying with the itchiness, Restare nel prurito, Dem Kratzen hingeben, dokumentiert ein öffentliches Treffen und eine Videoinstallation in Bozen, bei dem Gespräche mit Designer:innen, Produzent:innen und weiteren Expert:innen eine Diskussion über die Zukunft der lokalen Bergwolle eröffneten — über ihre Rauheit, ihre Widerständigkeit und ihr Potenzial als Material mit eigener Wirkmacht.

In Zusammenarbeit mit Weigh StationTeil von Feral Wool – iNEST. Realisiert im Rahmen der Citizen Engagement (CC3)-Aktivitäten des Programms iNEST – „Interconnected Nord-Est Innovative Ecosystem“, gefördert von der Europäischen Union – Next Generation EU (iNEST ECS00000043 – CUP I43C22000250006) / mit Unterstützung der Autonomen Provinz Bozen – Südtirol, Abteilung Italienische Kultur, Naturmuseum Südtirol

Stiamo entrando nel nuovo anno portando con noi i momenti preziosi che abbiamo condiviso a Weigh Station. 💫

Uno di questi momenti prende forma nel programma pubblico Care x Wools, a cura di Merve Bektaş e Seçil Uğur Yavuz, sviluppato nell’ambito del progetto di ricerca Feral Wool presso la Libera Università di Bolzano–Bozen.
Le fotografie riuniscono due parti del programma.

Le prime immagini provengono da Care x Wools N2: Schritt für Schritt, Passo per passo, Step by step, una pratica collettiva di camminata nella valle dell’Alta Badia, realizzata insieme alle pastore Sandra Hofer e Daniel Paratsch. Camminando insieme, passo dopo passo, abbiamo esplorato le relazioni tra pecore, paesaggio e cura, prestando attenzione ai ritmi della vita pastorale e alle ecologie montane.

La seconda parte, Care x Wools N3: Staying with the itchiness, Restare nel prurito, Dem Kratzen hingeben, documenta un incontro pubblico e un’installazione video a Bolzano, in cui conversazioni con designer, produttrici e produttori ed espertə hanno aperto una riflessione sul futuro della lana di montagna locale — sulla sua ruvidità, resistenza e sul suo potenziale come materiale dotato di una propria agency.
