The exhibition will be open 24/7, without reservations and directly from the street, hosted at the Ca****la di Santa Maria dei Carcerati in Palazzo Re Enzo, Piazza del Nettuno 1, Bologna.

𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗼 is a visual explorer born in Naples in 1984. He deals, both as an artist and as an
independent curator, with the impact of images in contemporary society and everything related to
audiovisual experimentation. He is also founder, together with Davide Spillari, of the publishing
project BANANE FANZINE and co-curator of the first two editions of the interactive arts festival
Toolkit Festival (Venice, 2011-2012). He has collaborated with online magazines such as Kabul
Magazine, SkyArte and NOT. He writes regularly for Artribune. He currently lives and works between
Turin and the web.

Il 18 maggio alle 21:00 saremo al Circolo DEV con Trasmissione anTiVirus il secondo appuntamento della rassegna DIVERSIONS | Moving Image Showcase organizzata da .bo .
A partire da tre brevi video dell’artivista Giacomo Verde, che varranno trasmessi nel corso della serata, faremo una chiacchiera in compagna degli artisti Guido Segni e Alessandro Giannetti, e della curatrice Tatiana Bazzichelli, fondatrice e direttrice del Disruption Network Lab.

“La tecnologia deve essere un mezzo che amplifica il contatto, il tempo reale, e non una gabbia che detta regole e ritmi immutabili”.
È da queste poche parole, pronunciate nel 2015 da Giacomo Verde, che vogliamo partire per introdurre e vedere in modo più ampio il suo approccio hacker, alterativo e deviante nei confronti dell’arte.
Tra video, performance e tecnologia, la deviazione delle regole è l’argomento che abbiamo scelto come spunto di conversazione con i nostri ospiti.

Starting with three short videos by the artivist Giacomo Verde, which will be broadcast during the evening, we will have a chat with the artists Guido Segni and Alessandro Giannetti, and the curator Tatiana Bazzichelli, founder and director of Disruption Network Lab.

"Technology must be a means that amplifies contact, real time, and not a cage that dictates immutable rules and rhythms".
It is from these few words, pronounced in 2015 by Giacomo Verde, that we want to start in order to introduce and see more broadly his hacker, alterative and deviant approach to art.
Between video, performance and technology, the deviation of the rules is the topic we have chosen as a starting point for conversation with our guests.

💥 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 - 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘳𝘬 aired during ART CITY 2022, draws to a close, but Mᴏᴄᴋ Jᴜɴɢʟᴇ does not stop.

Since yesterday , as the sun goes down, as the last day of ART CITY draws to a close, the indigestion of art continues with Mock Jungle 𝘈𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺, an international screening involving nineteen artists.
In the corpus of videos, different urgencies, languages and approaches to video emerge to compose a heterogeneous and crazy playlist that does not need to satisfy a specific theme. Rather, 𝘈𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺 wants to continue to show art even beyond the pre-established moments, without pauses, inexorably renewing itself in front of the eyes of unsuspecting passers-by and trying to give a little magic to the
Mock Jungle audience, which often does not even know to be considered as such.

Soon the names of all the artists hosted in this new screening curated by Metoché.

is an expanded, site-specific version of a series of experimental screen dance works, some of which have already been shown in festivals and exhibitions, including a three-channel version at the famous Ann Arbor Film Festival with sound design by Caterina Barbieri. For this site specific edition, two new variants are added, with audio contributions by Marta De Pascalis and Hampar Soum, for a total of 7 sequences, of which 6 are soundtracked.

Le sue opere video sono state proiettate in tutto il mondo; all’Anthology Film Archives di New York, San Francisco Independent Short Film Festival, all’Ann Arbor Film Festival, all’Asolo Art Film Festival, a Montreal per la Nuit Blanche, al Miami New Media Festival, the Athens Digital Arts Festival, al MACRO Museum di Roma, alla Cinemateca do MAM di Rio per Dobra Festival, al MOMus di Salonicco per Videolands, al festival itinerante Time is Love curato da Kisito Assangni, il festival CODEC di Città del Messico, LA Echo Park Film Center, Boston Cyber Art Gallery e altro ancora.
Ha vinto il Veneto Region Award al 10° Lago Film Fest e un quarto posto per il Sino per NIIO Illumination Art Prize 2019, con una sua opera esposta in uno dei più grandi schermi pubblici al mondo a Hong Kong; è stata selezionata per diverse residenze, nel 2016 da Joan Jonas alla Fundacion Botin (Santander, Spagna). Recentemente selezionato per l’ISEA 2019, l’International Symposium for Electronic Arts, a Gwangju, Corea del Sud.

𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁: Sara Bonaventura

𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮, italian visual artist and educator, working at the intersection between visual and media arts, lens based media and new media. As independent videographer she has been collaborating with performers and musicians, directing clips, ads, curating visuals. Her video works have been screened worldwide: at the NYC Anthology Film Archives, the San Francisco Independent Short Film Festival, at the Ann Arbor Film Festival, the Asolo Art Film Festival, in Montreal for the Nuit Blanche, the Miami New Media Festival, the Athens Digital Arts Festival, at Rome MACRO Museum, the Cinemateca do MAM in Rio for Dobra Festival, the MOMus in Thessaloniki for Videolands, the itinerant Time is Love screening curated by Kisito Assangni, the Mexico City CODEC festival, the LA Echo Park Film Center, the Boston Cyber Arts Gallery and more.
She won the Veneto Region Award at the 10th Lago Film Fest and a merit for the 2019 Sino per NIIO Illumination Art Prizes, with one of her work displayed in one of the world biggest public screen in Hong Kong; she has been selected for several residencies, i.e. in 2016 by Joan Jonas at Fundacion Botin (Santander, Spain). Recently selected for the ISEA 2019, the International Symposium for Electronic Arts, in Gwangju, South Korea.

fondato nel 2019 e curato da Nicolò Pellarin e Matteo Bergamo, si costituisce come una serie di eventi e piattaforma online incentrata sulla musica elettronica d’avanguardia, la cultura (club) contemporanea e oltre. 100__ve si manifesta in luoghi indefiniti varianti tra Venezia, Italia, e Amsterdam, Paesi Bassi. 100_ve mira a esplorare possibili alternative per quanto riguarda la creazione di nuove forme di collettività, partecipazione e ascolto attivo.
In quanto piattaforma curata mensilmente, 100_ve Online (www.1-0-0.info) facilita una serie di nuove collaborazioni, esplorazioni e ricerche audiovisive con l’intenzione di aprire sviluppi alternativi ad un’ampia rete di artisti e creatori. 100__ve ha organizzato e promosso una vasta gamma di eventi a livello locale, nazionale e internazionale. Una serie di concerti site-specific e performance volti a offrire una momenti di coesione e riflessione in alcuni dei luoghi più interessanti del patrimonio culturale italiano. 100__ve mira a creare nuovi dialoghi tra gli spazi coinvolti e le performance, dando vita a combinazioni uniche tra artisti locali e internazionali.

an expanded and site-specific version of a series of experimental screen dance works by the artist 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮

𝟭𝟬𝟬_𝘃𝗲
founded in 2019 and curated by Nicolò Pellarin and Matteo Bergamo is an event series and online platform focusing on rough-edged electronic music, contemporary (club) culture and beyond. Taking place in indefinite locations between Venice, Italy and Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 100__ve aims to explore possible alternatives regarding the creation of new forms of collectivity, participation and active listening.
As a monthly curated platform, 100__ve Online (www.1-0-0.info) facilitates a series of new collaborations, explorations and audiovisual research with the intention of opening alternative developments to a broaden network of artists and makers. 100__ve has been organising and promoting a wide range of events locally, nationally and internationally. A series of site-specific concerts geared to provide a musical getaway to some of the most interesting location of the Italian cultural heritage. 100__ve aims to create new dialogues between the involved spaces and the performances, giving birth to unique combinations between local and international artists.

is a cultural association that conducts experiments to promote and develop new artistic processes in the different areas in which it operates. We develop unexpected situations, research projects, meeting and events. We approach the environments trying to sow doubts, questions and impulses to expand the artistic experience.

Tutto filtrato dall’occhio e dalla veste grafica di YouTube, metafora dello sguardo contemporaneo, freddo e distaccato, che il World Wide Web sta proponendo (e imponendo) alla società.

All filtered through the eye and the graphic look of YouTube, a metaphor for the contemporary, cold and detached look that the World Wide Web is proposing (and imposing) on society.

In 𝕸𝖊𝖉𝖎𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖊𝖆𝖓 𝕹𝖔𝖘𝖙𝖆̀𝖑𝖌𝖎𝖆, presentato sotto forma di collage, vengono riprodotti, nello stesso momento, video appartenenti a culture del bacino del Mediterraneo e del Mezzogiorno d’Italia.
Una prima rottura con la tradizione avviene in chiave digitale perché viene riproposta tramite una registrazione desktop per poi essere conservata in una chiavetta usb che funge da scrigno per il futuro.

In 𝕸𝖊𝖉𝖎𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖊𝖆𝖓 𝕹𝖔𝖘𝖙𝖆̀𝖑𝖌𝖎𝖆, presented in the form of a collage, videos, from different cultures and times, reflect on the importance of ritual and tradition, are reproduced at the same time.
A first break with this tradition occurs in a contemporary and digital key because it is reproposed through a desktop recording and then stored on a USB stick that serves as a treasure chest for the future.

In 𝕸𝖊𝖉𝖎𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖊𝖆𝖓 𝕹𝖔𝖘𝖙𝖆̀𝖑𝖌𝖎𝖆 tradizioni arcaiche si manifestano tra immagini e video d’archivio con riprese che ne immortalano e ne tramandano la loro forma attuale. Un rituale che tenta di rievocare i fantasmi di un tempo rendendoli Presenza, altrimenti esperiti come Assenza.
𝕸𝖊𝖉𝖎𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖊𝖆𝖓 𝕹𝖔𝖘𝖙𝖆̀𝖑𝖌𝖎𝖆 risulta come un repêchage in cui immagine e suono si fondono insieme per poi dissolversi in punti sparsi del monitor diventando così quasi irriconoscibili.

In 𝕸𝖊𝖉𝖎𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖊𝖆𝖓 𝕹𝖔𝖘𝖙𝖆̀𝖑𝖌𝖎𝖆 archaic traditions are manifested in images and archive videos with footage that immortalises and hand down their current form. A ritual that tries to evoke the ghosts of the past, making them Presence, otherwise experienced as Absence.
𝕸𝖊𝖉𝖎𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖊𝖆𝖓 𝕹𝖔𝖘𝖙𝖆̀𝖑𝖌𝖎𝖆 is like a repêchage in which image and sound blend together and then dissolve in scattered points on the monitor, becoming almost unrecognisable.
