A KIND OF MUSIC YOGA - I was recently invited by RRI2, Radio Republik Indonesia, to present a book that I have been working on for about a year soon to be released. I would like to report here an excerpt from the broadcast which briefly shed some light on the work, its contents and purposes.

SEJENIS YOGA MUSIK - Baru-baru ini saya diundang oleh RRI2, Radio Republik Indonesia, untuk mempresentasikan buku yang sudah saya kerjakan kurang lebih setahun yang akan segera terbit. Di sini saya ingin melaporkan cuplikan siaran yang secara singkat menjelaskan karya tersebut, isi dan tujuannya.

UN TIPO DI YOGA MSICALE - Recentemente sono stato invitato a Radio Republik Indonesia 2 per presentare un libro al quale sto lavorando da circa un anno e che è di prossima pubblicazione desidero riportare un estratto della trasmissione che presenta brevemente l’opera i suoi contenuti e i suoi scopi.

ON AIR! - Today at 4pm I will be at Radio Republic Indonesia / RRI2 to present a new book that I have been working on for quite a while now: it is a new method for musicians of all levels on how to develop an original artistic personality, improve one's performance ability, overcome difficulties and above all having fun playing music! I will also follow some pieces from my Contemporary Raga repertoire to give a practical demonstration. Stay tuned!!

MENGUDARA! - Hari ini jam 4 sore saya akan berada di Radio Republik Indonesia / RRI2 untuk mempresentasikan buku baru yang telah saya kerjakan selama ini: sebuah metode baru bagi musisi dari semua tingkatan tentang bagaimana mengembangkan kepribadian artistik yang orisinal, meningkatkan kinerja seseorang. kemampuan, mengatasi kesulitan dan yang terpenting bersenang-senang bermain musik! Saya juga akan mengikuti beberapa bagian dari repertoar Contemporary Raga saya untuk memberikan demonstrasi praktis. Pantau terus!

ANIMUS LOCI AND THE KENZO TOWERS - In the spring of the year 2000 I began to rehearse my band at the directional district of my city, locally known as the Kenzo's Towers - designed by architect Kenzo Tange in the 70's. At first I was attracted by the acoustic and the dreamy athmosphere of the location at night. The wide open space framed by minimal lines and the quality of resonance brought out the details of music and let it breathe. Years later I realized how much that place molded my music and inspired my personal concept of composition. Music is not an exclusively aural experience, our imagination is embedded by what we see and live, it's a total-body experience. In the middle of the area there’s a small round theatre, carved into the granite floor; I'm sure Kenzo viewed the site as a meeting point for daily life. Today the small arena is seldom used for public events but it was fundamental for my developement as an artist and eventually gave birth to this project: the ANIMUS LOCI. The physical structure acted as the wire between the ideas of two distant people in space and time. Thankyou Kenzo Tange for giving me the opportunity to be the genius loci of your work and make it sound!

ANIMUS LOCI E LE TORRI DI KENZO - Nella primavera del 2000 ho iniziato a provare con il mio gruppo presso il quartiere direzionale della mia città, noto con il nome di Torri di Kenzo - progettato dall'architetto Kenzo Tange negli anni '70. All'inizio ero attratto dall’acustica e dall'atmosfera surreale che il luogo aveva la notte. Lo spazio ampio incorniciato dalle linee minimali e la particolare risonanza portava in superficie i dettagli di musica e la faceva respirare. Anni dopo ho capito quanto quel luogo avesse contribuito a plasmare la mia musica e il mio concetto di composizione. La musica non è un'esperienza esclusivamente sonora, la nostra immaginazione è influenzate da quello che vediamo e viviamo, è un'esperienza fisica completa. Nel mezzo del complesso vi è un piccolo teatro circolare, scavato nella pavimento di granito; sono certo che Kenzo avesse progettato il luogo come punto di incontro per la vita quotidian. Oggi la piccola arena è raramente utilizzato per eventi pubblici, ma è stata fondamentale per la mia formazione come artista e ha dato vita a questo progetto: l'ANIMUS LOCI. La struttura materica ha agito come il filo tra le idee di due persone lontane nello spazio e nel tempo. Grazie Kenzo Tange per avermi dato l'opportunità di essere il genius loci del tuo lavoro farlo risuonare!
