The 2nd edition of the PhMuseum Days - International Photography Festival will take place in Bologna from 23 September to 2 October 2022 under the theme Today Is Yesterday's Tomorrow, an opportunity to reflect on the power of actions and the relationship between past, present and future. The event will be held at the DumBO’s Spazio Bianco in Bologna, Italy, a 1600 square meter post-industrial pavi

lion that will host exhibitions, presentations, a space dedicated to photographic publishing and an outdoor relaxation area. The program includes 13 individual and 2 group exhibitions, portfolio reviews (24 September) workshops and a rich program of presentations. The event is organised by PhMuseum, a platform promoting authors and contemporary photography since 2012.

In 2020-MMXX, multiple-angle photography is used as a tool to accentuate the sense of elongated time and deconstruct the illusion of space in pictures. Through subtle gestures, Max Pinckers’ images reveal that they are photographed at precisely the same instant by multiple analog cameras operated simultaneously.

PhMuseum Days 2024 In Review
Since 2021, we have meant PhMuseum Days to be a physical gathering for our community, bringing our online-based activity to the real world. This came with immense challenges and opportunities that led to the beautiful edition recently concluded.
PhMuseum Days represents a chance for us to reflect on what images can become when made physical and on the role of photography in our society. Year after year, we have been experimenting with structures, materials, and design solutions to re-think spaces. We have shaped curatorial paths where different solo shows could come together as part of a broader discourse. We have worked with 47 artists on individual exhibitions and more than 200 for collective shows, presentations and activities. Together, we created an informal and horizontal meeting ground for insiders and the general public alike.
We wish to thank once again all the artists, publishers, volunteers, team members, partners, and sponsors for trusting the festival. Thanks to our growing public, to those who traveled from other countries and to those who returned day after day, edition after edition. After four years of curating and designing exhibitions in conversation with talented artists, we are proud of having established a young, yet prominent festival for our city 💙

Last day to visit Anatomy Of An Oyster by at

Anatomy of an Oyster is Rita Puig-Serra’s personal exploration of the abuse she suffered in her family as a child. The artist uses photography and archive images to confront and understand her past.

The installation is inspired by Lina Bo Bardi’s research in relation to the exhibition design of MASP, São Paulo.

Admission to the exhibition is free.
From 12 to 14 September from 4pm to 7pm

Anatomy of an Oyster è un’esplorazione personale di Rita Puig-Serra per elaborare gli abusi subiti in famiglia da bambina. L’artista utilizza la fotografia e immagini d’archivio per affrontare e comprendere il proprio passato.

L’installazione è ispirata alla ricerca di Lina Bo Bardi legata al design espositivo del MASP di San Paolo.

L’ingresso alla mostra è gratuito.
