Remembering 2016 ✨
Il 2016 è stato un anno cruciale e profondamente doloroso per il nostro Festival.
Abbiamo vissuto quell’edizione con la stessa emozione, energia e allegria che ci accompagnano da oltre 52 anni, ignari che di lì a poco tutto sarebbe cambiato.
È stato l’anno in cui il nostro paese, Apiro, è diventato una delle tante vittime del terribile terremoto che ha colpito il Centro Italia. Il centro storico, anima e cuore del nostro Festival, porta ancora oggi i segni di quella ferita.
Quel momento ha segnato un prima e un dopo, costringendoci a ridimensionare e ripensare profondamente ciò che il Festival Terranostra era stato fino ad allora. Ma, nonostante questo, Terranostra ha continuato a vivere, a resistere, a rinascere, più forte di sempre.
Se oggi il Festival in piazza rimane un ricordo prezioso nel cuore di tutti noi, è proprio quella memoria fatta di nostalgia, emozioni e condivisione a darci la forza di guardare avanti, impegnandoci ogni anno a fare sempre meglio per gli artisti ospiti e per il nostro meraviglioso pubblico! ❤️
🇬🇧 2016 was a crucial and deeply painful year for our Festival.
We experienced that edition with the same emotion, energy, and joy that have accompanied us for over 52 years, unaware that everything was about to change shortly thereafter.
It was the year in which our town, Apiro, became one of the many victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Central Italy. The historic center, the soul and heart of our Festival, still bears the marks of that wound today.
That moment marked a clear before and after, forcing us to scale back and profoundly rethink what the Terranostra Festival had been up to that point. Yet despite this, Terranostra continued to live on, to endure, to be reborn—stronger than ever.
If today the Festival in the square remains a cherished memory in all our hearts, it is precisely that memory—made of nostalgia, emotions, and shared experiences—that gives us the strength to look ahead, committing ourselves every year to do better and better for our guest artists and for our wonderful audience! ❤️
