From 30th August to 12th October 2025

Exhibition of painting, sculpture, and photography devoted to the art of Erminio Tansini
Many works selected for the exposition are related to Cinque Terre; in particular to Monterosso al Mare. The village has been the setting for numerous paintings and the source of much of the wood he has used for his sculptures since the 1990s. Monterosso hosted also three of his solo exhibitions (2014–2019) and two sessions of “Elusive Shapes” (2018) and “Re-Framings” (2023). These photographic series are dedicated to the sculptures and to the paintings of Erminio Tansini; they have been held in Austria, France, Italy, the Principality of Monaco, the Republic of San Marino, Slovenia, and Switzerland

Mostra di pittura, scultura e fotografia dedicata all’arte di Erminio Tansini
Molte tra le opere selezionate per l’evento sono legate alle Cinque Terre: in particolare, a Monterosso al Mare. Nel borgo l’autore ha realizzato numerosi dipinti e, dagli Anni ’90, si procura la materia per le proprie creazioni lignee. Monterosso ha anche ospitato tre sue personali (2014-2019) e due sessioni delle serie fotografiche «Forme sfuggenti» (2018) e «Ri-quadri» (2023). Queste rassegne sono riservate ai lavori scultorei e pittorici di Erminio Tansini: si svolgono tra Austria, Francia, Italia, Principato di Monaco, Repubblica di San Marino e Svizzera

ELUSIVE SHAPES

Recycling and regeneration; an artistic project
“Elusive Shapes” [“Forme sfuggenti”] is a series of photographic sets, dedicated to Erminio Tansini’s wooden sculptures

The artist creates his own works with branches, stumps, roots, and logs, recovered from shores and torrents (above all, in the area of the Cinque Terre)
Some sculptures are temporary scenarized in scenographic place: castles, cliffs, archaeological sites, mountain landscapes, forest clearings, streams or body of water

Set up by “In arce (www.inarce.com)”, the series is directed by Davide Tansini and is carrying out in Italy, Switzerland, France, and Monaco (in the La Spezia territory, stopovers took place in Vernazza, Riomaggiore, Monterosso al Mare, Porto Venere, Levanto, Bonassola, and La Spezia)
