Still doing experiments with AE. Not just figuring out my workflow and getting more efficient but I am also pushing my style. What sort of work do I want to do? What is my “style”? I always like to change things up, doing the same things over and over again in the name of “efficiency” is definitely not my style. How do I want to mix my experiences together?

I definitely love motion design. I neglected it for a while because I was focusing more on general design skills. There was also a long time where I struggled to do anything creative. Or anything where there was a learning curve. It was literally physically painful. I feel so lucky to have gotten through that time of my life instead of it ending.

Quite the journey this video has gone through. All sorts of mistakes were made. Second video is when I exported without plugging in the hard drive with the textures on it. And in the end the result (first post) is simply put: boring. But whatever. First time I’ve done 3D modeling in AE, added texture and did some camera work. Anyway, gonna head off to a real pool now. Bye!

Got a lot of half finished or 1/4 finished animations in Procreate. It’s a good program to sketch out an idea but so hard to keep track of frames and keep the design smooth. I have bought Procreate Dreams now, maybe it’s better. I just want to be able to add a text or texture in the background without it getting mixed into the animation.
