This piece came from a place I couldn’t quite put into words—so I painted it instead.

Vibrant, intense reds cut through deep blacks—bright, raw, and unapologetic.
A presence emerges through the noise, carrying something fractured, something unresolved.

Every stroke holds a fragment of that feeling.
Color. Contrast. Chaos. Control.

Last Friday, I flew back for my school’s 80th birthday celebration and reunion. I met up with old friends and teachers, saw the new classrooms, and was amazed by how much the school has expanded. It was wonderful. I even did some live model sketching, which I hadn’t done in years. It was so lovely to pop over and enjoy it all.
