During one week in September moving pictures, live music and a multisensory exhibition will join forces to become the multi dimensional Northern Marginal Festival in the heart of Reykjavík, Iceland. Marginal culture phenomenons are alive and well in both Finland and Iceland. Never the less, in order to to grow and prosper culture in general as well as marginal culture needs regular boosts of new i
nsights, innovations and flavors so that it can more productively respond and cater to the ever changing needs and demands of the public/consumer. We bring you moving pictures that challenge the mind and imagination, music that rattles you to the core and an exhibition that encompasses the multitude of the Finnish forest. Culture export and exchange, the joy of creativity and the rendezvous for the most active Nordic subcultures, this is Northern Marginal Festival! The festival program is split into three sections:
