Just a little reminder to rest and pause your scrolling. Resting is necessary, it gives space and time for creativity to flow! Embrace mindful living and don't get too caught up in the busy of the modern world ✨

A snapshot from my summer holiday in Scotland... No need for a relaxation app when real life sounds like this!

I did not forage wild garlic this time, just enjoyed the beauty of it. But if it grows in your area you should definitely add it to your foraging arsenal. Joy can be found everywhere you look, nature is full of wonders ❤️

You know that feeling when you find treasures on the beach ✨ its almost as good feeling as the feeling of wearing the jewelry made with the treasure..

I haven't yet worked with seaglass but I've been collecting it.. plenty of it! Some day I'll create something with the stash! Until then I'll work with the stones and seashells.

I am back home in Iceland after my holidays and I can't wait to get back to working with what the land has to offer. Stay tuned...!

Imagine one of the first really warm days of spring, the smell of the salty sea, seabirds squeaking and snow-topped mountains in the background, walking barefoot on the rocky beach, toes soaking in the salty seaweed bath of the Atlantic ocean. That's my happy place, I could spend all day out here.

Finding seaglass, stones and seashells tops it all off.. can't wait to make Atlantic infused jewelry when I come home ✨

Do you have your priorities straight, like me? The first thing I pack when going on a holiday is all of my favourite jewellery.. all made by me except for the vintage studs from the 50s, inherited from my grandmother. Very sentimental and undeniably classy!

How many pairs of earrings do we need on a 2 week holiday? Is there a limit?

P.S. this is definitely not the ideal way to store your jewellery... It's best to avoid them rubbing onto each other, scratching the surface. If possible, store them in their individual slots. I often wrap them in a cotton cloth, making sure none of them scratch the other.

These stones somehow looked so plain before, but with the right design their beauty is brought forward. ✨

Somehow I always end up making earrings. I could be making so many other things, any other of my million ideas, but I always come back to earrings.

I should be packing right now, preparing for my summer holiday, but somehow I yet again ended up admiring my craft, taking pics of the pieces I made last night.

Hope you all have a nice weekend ahead of you!

Once again it's time to sort stones, choosing which ones get to go on and which ones need more rough polishing ✨

When you visit Skriðuklaustur, don't forget to check out the museum shop for great souvenirs. Who knows, maybe you will find your new favourite earrings or a naturally dyed silk scarf to bring you comfort and style during your travels ✨
