Forest Lagoon is one of those places that perfectly combines relaxation and nature, surrounded by forest, mountain views, and warm geothermal water. The architecture fits beautifully into the landscape, creating a calm and unique atmosphere that really represents the north.

Working with has been a really special part of my journey as a photographer, and I’m truly thankful for the trust and support they’ve given me over the years. It’s a great addition to our town and a must-visit for anyone exploring North Iceland.

On an afternoon stroll with my two kids and the dog when I spotted a breaching whale. I have seen whales breach here before, but it never lined up right. Luckily, I had my drone and camera backpack in the trunk from an earlier shoot. The first two batteries I just wasted flying around, waiting for it to happen. Then when he started breaching again, I put in my last battery and sent the drone out. Tracking him was nearly impossible, he’d dive and pop up somewhere random, but I finally got a shot that came close to what I have been dreaming of for five years.
