Being–In the Hyrcanian Forests | May, 2024
“Being–In” is one of the sub-projects of the “Being” project by the Human Voice Ensemble. It focuses on audio-visual recordings of Being performances in natural and historical environments.

Our state of being is inherently influenced by our surroundings and by the other living actions present within them. The Human Voice Ensemble aims to immerse itself in these natural spaces—full of vibrant, living activity—in order to experience sensory perception, explore stimuli that invite active attention, and respond to them through sound-based interaction and performance.

All of these simultaneous events and sensory data will be recorded and documented, and later published as part of the “Being–In” collection.

BEING
Towards the sheer senses

The Human-Voice ensemble has created a form of a performance called “Being, towards the sheer senses”. This project is meant to be practical research on the foundations of voice and prehistoric/cultural communication.

This Performance ought to be an encouter between the performers and the audience. A web of communications by means of sounds that makes several simultaneous relations. It’s all about breaching the accepted cultural and social behaviors. Since each performance is held in varied venues, in different biological times and in the presence of new people, it would be novel and alive.

Laibach - "Alamut" - Live at Myticket Jahrhunderthalle Frankfurt (October 19th 2023)
